ADDAMS FAMILY takes the Lunt-Fontanne#1

"Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, the current fishbowl of The Little Mermaid, will become the haunted mansion of the new musical The Addams Family, the producers announced on July 22. The musical by Andrew Lippa, Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice will begin performances March 4, 2010, after a fall Chicago world premiere."

Nathan Lane and Jackie Hoffman on the same stage at the same time? They'll suck all the air out of the theatre with their need-to-be-noticed scene stealing and the audience will suffocate. Sounds risky.

adamgreer- I never said anything was untrue. Unfortunately everything will close eventually. Of course I don't like the fact they are closing The Little Mermaid, but I got over it which is something a lot of people on this board can't seem to do..

wdwfreak, I don't know what thread you were reading, but the one most of us were reading had posts that talked about how most people weren't really shocked to to hear that Beauty was closing.

Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia is just brilliant casting--I love her work.

I think Nathan Lane can just relax and have a ball with this show with the elegant Bebe beside him.

I was hoping for a good train crash sequence, but if that would be stealing from the TV show instead of the book I guess they can't do it. Perhaps they will come up with something equally fun.
