Just talked to the box office and was told student rush would only be $76.50, day of the show! What a great deal!!!!!
... they're got to be kidding.
I thought she was joking with me, but she assured me she was not.

This HAS to be a sick joke. Right...right?
Come on! They sell general admission tickets cheaper than that?
She said their student rush was $50 off the top price of $126.50.
WHAT!?
it would be cheaper to TKTS... thats not even rational.... not even YF would pull this ****
I'm REALLY hoping the producers realize this is just ridiculous and change it ASAP. I'm sure once they see they haven't sold ONE ticket at that price they'll revise it.

Since when can students afford more expensive tickets than tourists? I got a thing in the mail yesterday advertising orchestra tickets for that much, I think.
Absolutely ridiculous.
This had better be a huge joke. I paid less with a playbill discount before.
Seriously?? Do they actually think anyone is going to pay that much for a student ticket? That's absolutely ridiculous. When I asked at the box office a week ago the lady told me there would be no rush, and basically in my mind she was right; there's no way I would ever pay that much for a rush ticket. Use a discount code or buy the rear mezz seats. I wasn't happy with Billy Elliot's rush policy, but that's looking like a great deal right now in comparison.

Perhaps that was her way of telling you that they don't have student rush...
You could buy a full price ticket like other people...
Or maybe she's just stupid?

I just called and the lady said $26.50 each 2 per ID. Side Orc Partial view.
I said to her "I heard they were $76.50" she was like "That's how much they normally are but student tickets are cheaper"
GOOD. I guess someone talked sense into them.
good, jeez if that was true I would of killed someone.
I just bought mine for tonight! The box office said there are plenty left. The Nederlander is still a mess on the street level. I'm so stoked!

Wish I could be there tonight, but rehearsals prevent that.
I think I'll go tomorrow.
It looks like I was told something different from both people in this thread.
I went down to the box office this afternoon a little before noon (the construction going on in the lobby is ridiculous) and was told by the man on duty that although "there will surely be some sort of student rush tickets available," they have not decided any specific policy and probably won't until sometime next week.
I mentioned that others had claimed to have been told they'd be selling the side orchestra "partial view" seats for rush (since I read coolkid say as such in a previous post,) but he said that no one had told that to anyone as nothing had been determined.
Either the person I spoke to was misinformed or there is some serious confusion within the house staff at The Nederlander.
It sounds like The Nederlander staff need a meeting..or a memo..but it looks like no one is on the same page over there.
You can get 50 dollar mezz seats. And at the Nederlander, any seat in the house is good. Ripoff.
