I feel bad too. I was excited for Evan Rachel Wood and Alan Cumming to be on a stage together.

Is there confirmation that it is no longer happening? The articles sight money problems (cash flow) that has apparently been remedied. So why all the condolences for something that we aren't even sure is not happening?
I think we should hold a candlelight memorial service outside the theater so we can all pay our respects.
LOL!
This is the second time a U2 musical score has been called innovative and well-received, but failed to materialize onstage.
Bono and the Edge had previously written music for the second musical adaptation of A Clockwork Orange (the one staged in the 2000s, without the film's original classical score). Almost none of the songs have been released, even though the score was praised.
For god's sake, just let someone write a good Batman musical. He and his world sing a lot more than Spiderman does, and would look like a spectacle by its very nature, not by elaborate million-dollar special effects.

Okay, I'd actually like the see a staged version of "A Clockwork Orange".
Royalty Theatre, London. (Now called The Peacock).
Music and lyrics by Bono And The Edge
1990 for a very short run.
It was the RSC's first musical after 'Les Miserables'
Is that a joke, for real, mama?
Its for real, it really did happen
Visually it was absolutely stunning, incredible designs.
Musically it was dreadful.
It ran a matter of weeks to very thin audiences.
Phil Daniels as Alex on the back of the shows flier.

"Carrie" never played the West End. The world premiere took place in Stratford-upon-Avon and from there it went directly to Broadway.
NO! You are so very sadly wrong, 'Carrie' did not originate in the West End.
