I think so, Rosscoe.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

Perhaps.
It's just sort of silly; you are completely entitled to dislike Rent and to think their sticking with it is ridiculous. I don't recall that I've ever given you a hard time for that -- or honestly, that I've given anyone a hard time for that in recent memory. But, it's more than a little ridiculous to say that the show did nothing for their careers just because you don't like the show and think their returning to it is stupid when in fact, that's just simply not true.
I'm not sure that I necessarily owe such a diplomatic response, but it's far more a matter of logic than one of "oh, ouch, you've bruised my inner Renthead!" It doesn't hurt me to hear things like that, as much as I'm sure you'd like to believe it does; it's just annoying to hear the same old fallacy-based bullsh*t every time this comes up. I don't know, maybe it's just that I didn't want to let you get away with thinking you successfully jabbed another one where it hurts.

Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Does anybody else think it's funny that we know who will be playing Mark and Roger on tour a year from now? Because we STILL don't know who will play them on Broadway in less than a month.

Thanks, now due to seeing the word "brain" underneath that picture, I'm going to have Right Brain stuck in my head for the next week.

I was just wondering if this is going to be an equity tour? I mean RENT has not toured equity for quite some time if memory serves me right. I was just wondering if because of Anthony and Adams involvement if it would be equity.
Sorry ti "thread jack" but I did not want to start an entire new thread about this.

this is DEFINITELY the best news i've heard in a while. just because i am a huge fan of Adam and Anthony. they could be 60 for all i care, i would still pay big money to see Anthony dance on that table and to see Adam sing Glory. age is not an issue here. they will always be mark and roger in my book. :)

"Does anybody else think it's funny that we know who will be playing Mark and Roger on tour a year from now? Because we STILL don't know who will play them on Broadway in less than a month."
The chance to appear on Broadway would be a coup for any young actor. For Communication senior Adam Kantor, the chance to play the role of Mark in Rent was the opportunity of a lifetime.
"It's incredible to think about," Kantor said. "When I talk about it I can't believe the words are coming out of my mouth. It's such an important show that really belongs to our generation."
Kantor was offered the role in the musical's final cast earlier this month after auditioning in New York. His character, Mark, is an aspiring bohemian filmmaker who copes as he sees many close friends become infected with HIV and AIDS. The Tony Award-winning musical, based on the opera La Bohème, chronicles the lives of starving artists in New York's East Village dealing with HIV/AIDS. The long-running show is scheduled to end its 12-year run on Broadway this June.
"As an actor, it's such an honor to be a part of this production in its final moments," he said. "It really is a landmark in the history of music."
Rent's director, NU alumnus Michael Greif, came to NU last summer to direct a new show, "The Boy in the Bubble," sponsored by the American Music Theatre Project. Greif, Communication '81, cast Kantor in the lead role.
And you should all know that he is incredibly talented.

Of course this will be an Equity tour.
Adam and Anthony are Equity actors. They are only allowed to perform in Equity productions.

Since I am seeing the show in April (for the last time, sigh) I am glad that they did cast a fresh face ! At least, he will have passion and determination to be really good and prove himself on his first Bway starring role !!! And...he's not bad on the eyes, either

They'll have to change the lyrics to keep it from sounding like Judge Turpin trying to seduce Johanna in Sweeney Todd
"You look like you're 26."
"I'm 29, but I'm old for my age. I was born in the 70s!"
"I once was born in the 70s."

god the insults about this show and Anthony and Adam are dull
This is a show which has changed their lives, of course they are gonna do a fair well tour, this will be a chance for the guys to say goodbye, not just to the fans of Rent but to rent itself.

I just hope the tour comes to Denver. I would love to see the two of them together in the show. I have only seen the 1st National Tour of the show.

Except they are now way too old for the roles. It's past time they said goodbye to Rent and did something else.

TonyVincent- That comment was HILARIOUS. It just made my day! I laughed out really loud in the computer lab and everyone looked at me...but it was worth it!
I'm still laughing...........
