He has a background in Musical Theatre, he toured Europe with Hair and understudied Fyero in LA before AI. I'm surprised he hasn't done Broadway yet.
What roles would you like to see him play?

I'd love to see him as Judas or Hedwig. He would also be spectacular as the Leading prayer. Hell, judging by that clip he'd be a terrific Effie.

I think he would be a good Jesus in Godspell and I would like to see him as the Leading Player in Pippin. Gabe in N2N would be good for him also.

As an usher
It would be interesting to hear his take on A Little Bit of Good if he were Mary Sunshine in Chicago.
Boy do I love Adam Lambert! I wonder if he wants broadway.

What the hell has Broadway done to you to wish for this?
Does he still make too much from concerts and events to commit to a show?

Does he even DO concerts? Who could possibly go to see him?

He is an amazing vocalist and I think he would be great on Broadway. How awesome would he be in something really rockish that would let him use that range?
Except he doesnt want to.
He can play the boots in Kinky Boots

This one is gonna get ugly, folks. For the record I do believe Adam has said himself in interviews that he has no plans (or desire) to return to musical theatre.
Pity, isn't Musical theatre were he got his start, I realize American Idol launched him, but Musical Theatre is where he got his start though right? Shame now that he's gotten big, he's turned his back on his roots.

In what alternate reality is Adam Lambert big?

He would be great in Jersey Boys or Rock of Ages also.
If he needs to be on Broadway, he can take the subway to 42nd street and walk over one block. That's the extent that I'd ever want to see him on Broadway.
He was at "Pippin" last Wednesday Night! That is why I found the Leading Player Comment Interesting.

^ Only if all the audience members were required to take acid before watching the show.
I saw Adam as Fiyero back in 2007 and I saw his tour at the OC Fair in 2009 or 2010. I think he's a terrific performer, it's a shame his more recent work hasn't had much longevity.

I agree Sir Robin, but atleast people actually remember him unlike the Actual winner of American Idol..what was his name again?

There's been a LOT of runner ups that have been more successful than the winners.
Heck, wasn't JHudson even further back in the line up?
I have no feelings on the man as a performer. I am not an AI fan, and I don't follow his career.
I don't doubt he might be talented enough, but as a musician, he is his own character. He just doesn't WANT to do b'way.

'it's a shame he turned his back on his roots'
I actually don't agree with that. He has already done musicals and may feel he wants to grow elsewhere, no different than any artist who is looking to explore new territory.
Or the guy might just be making too much money! I certainly wouldn't be headed back to seven shows a week if I was in his position...
