"Whether it's considered "bullying" or not, I know that it requires a very thick skin to participate here."
Funny how quickly one's attitude and comportment can change.
In just a short time, you've begun to take gratuitous swipes at others yourself. You don't seem unduly concerned about their skin, now do you?
Funny, isn't it? Small, and funny ..... and sad.
As for the subject of this thread, I feel bad for Adam Pascal, a performer I've always admired, and for Winston as well, a model poster who deserves none of the ugly words with which he was tarnished.
Becky - Kind of funny how Mr. Pascal did not defend the rest of the ensemble that Winston said seemed to be "going thru the motions" and have to audition again for their parts. How come he did not feel the need to address that when he had to get something off his chest - lol.
>> Funny how quickly one's attitude and comportment can change.
You're right. I've only been here a short time. It didn't take very long to find out that trolls are as welcomed here as anyone else. You're the most persistently obnoxious and offensive troll Ive encountered and yet - here you are, and here you'll stay.
So... yes. "I know that it requires a very thick skin to participate here."

You've proven my point --- one that really required no proof.

You guys are crazy, now all of a sudden you guys are Pascal Haters just because he said some dumb stuff? HA dont make me laugh. You ppl are complete hypocrits! Look at all the outrageous things Patti Lupone does and u guys still love her! The fact is, you don't care what is said, you care who says it. Stop it.

"You people" -- a bit strong eh? Very few here seem to "hate" him because of this -- I don't think he had all that many fangirls around here, anyway. Good way of lumping everyone into one cateory - when that isn't the case at all.
Folks are allowed to discuss what and whom they would like to -- he put his words out there, he made if fair game to discuss. More interestingly, YOU put it on these boards knowing full well it would go this way. So really, you are to blame. It's unlikely that any (or at least, many) of us are on his fan page.
I don't love or hate Pascal. Nor am I a Patti fan. Has nothing to do with "outrageous" things they've done or said. If their jobs (which includes criticism) is too demanding, they should find other work.
"The fact is, you don't care what was is said, you care who says it."
I'll have to agree with that. I wouldn't generalize and apply that to everyone who posted here, but there a large number of people who do that constantly on this board.
Btw, i'm not defending Adam with my statement above... it's just an afterthought! lol
I have lost respect for him and makes me think about him differently, didnt say I hated him.
And I dont like Patti, either the voice or her persona.
This is the reality of social networking, it can be a double edge sword for performers, and as a fan sometimes its best not to peep behind the curtain

Adam Pascal has a tony nomination he did not just earn that from nothing. He earned that
broadwayguy - Since this thread is now 10 pages, I don't expect you to have read every post. Due to that, I will tell you I already said I still repect Mr. Pascal's talent but have lost some respect for him as a person. My goodness, somebody posts that he forgot his lines and he did not cover well. Is this a legitimate reason for Mr. Pascal to go on a "rant"? As myself and others have said, the OP also mentioned other members of the cast going thru the motions and the overall quality of "Chicago" at this point in time. In other words, Mr. Pascal was not the entire focus of the thread.

^ Yup.
broadway guy, if your parents were here, I'd strongly encourage them to send you to your room and suspend your Internet privileges. I'd also recommend a good spanking, but that's up to them in regards to their views on corporal punishment.
Oh, John Adams, are we getting to be friends? {blushes}

'Ya know what? This is a really good opportunity to clear up an error I made right out of the gate...
At the time, After Eight was using the same avatar as yours, and I made a critical error in confusing his posts with yours based on the avatars (not careful reading on my part).
We've never not been friends - I just "went up on my lines" and was too embarrassed to say so.

Honestly, i was surprised i was the first person to put it up.I put it on this board 30 minutes after he wrote posted it. I thought it was acceptable to put it on here but i didn't think it would get this much attention. I expected maybe 30 replies but not over 200! thats cray

Honey, you need to get out of that relationship. You can always pay money for that kind of thing on an "as-needed" basis. ("I do not know, that this is so... I only just suppose....")
Have you never watched Oprah? No good can come of this...

You are probably right but it is broadway related news and i thought ppl would find it interesting. I just think the ppl on here are being drama queens about this. Not all of them but This is just cray cray. I did expect a reaction but not on this scale. This is on the scale of that Raven Symone scandal when she was sick and people attacked her on here.

A common mistake. You're forgiven. Go forth and sin no more.

I elect John Adams as President of Broadway world message board. He is nice to me :)

Don't be so sure. If I were President, I would politely ask you to scroll up to your previous post.
Then, I would instruct you to delete every word except for, "You are probably right"
After that, I'd request (but not require) that you replace the deleted items with the words, "Thank you"
Not so "nice" now, am I?
