Since people are asking, can someone pm me as well would love to hear it!
I agree that "When You're an Adams" and "Pulled" are the stand outs. I also like "Happy/Sad". I do have a question though. The whole "But Love" thing in "Don't Talk About Anything Else But Love"... they keep repeating "But Love" over and over again, which could be interpreted as "Butt Love". That was intentional, correct? Or is that just me?
"Pulled" is tween/teen fluff sprung from the Elphaba geeration of musiclal theatre aesthetic.
So? It's a style! There have always been "fluff songs" in scores, just picked to fit the aesthetic of the times. Hell, this show is packed with a ton of fluff songs from EVERY past aesthetic!
i havn't got the cast album, but have heard enough of the songs to know what i like =D and i have to say, my favourite song from it is Just Around The Corner. Bebe Neuwirth, i know people find her voice annoying, but she has such grace and elegance even when speaking and singing, i just love it!!
The Moon And Me, that is such an adorable song! it'll be stuck in my head for months! hahaha
there are soooo many good songs in this show, even though people are saying "through away songs" etc, i genuinly don't think so. Admittantly, not the best songs i've ever heard, but they strike a chord. funny, sad, jaunty, fun. it it's the bone lol and just love the score, the talent who sing it, and the talent who wrote it and play it!
i cannot wait to hear at least one song all the way through lol
if anyone does have to already....you have no idea how much it would mean if you could PM me with it, i think i'd scream with so much joy lol thanks :P
I would appreciate a PM as well, I have seen the show twice in previews, and wondering if any music changes have been made.
I would also love a PM please...

If someone could PM me it too that'd be great, thank you!
I think these orchestrations should have been nominated over La Cage and Promises.

I really wish the overture stayed the same as it was in Chicago. The transitions between themes in the Broadway version are so abrupt and blatant. In Chicago they were seamless and smooth. I'm enjoying the final version, but after you have heard the Chicago overture it's pretty disappointing.
I had chills during the overture in Chicago, that disappoints me that they changed it. It was so thrilling it really set an awesome tone for the beginning of that show.

Completely agreed. The overture is so short and actually, kinda boring now... The only part where it redeems itself is at the end/beginning of When You're An Addams when Thing is about to part the curtain. LOVE the Spanish Guitar.
And on that note, I canNOT wait to hear what Clandango sounds like.
I love that the picture of the back cover was posted in this thread, complete with the FBI anti-piracy warning and people are still here in droves asking for download links. Not that I'm one to talk, certainly not -- it's just making me laugh a little inside.

can someone pm me too please??? i'd be suuuuper grateful!
I'm not not asking for a PM as well...
i too would love a pm. i have a bunch of cast recordings to trade for....
Including: SPELLING BEE, ANNIE, AVENUE Q, CHICAGO, DREAMGIRLS, FIDDLER, HAIRSPRAY, LEGALLY BLONDE, MAMMA MIA, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS (SJP), SHREK, SPRING AWAKENING, LITTLE MERMAID, PRODUCERS, SOUND OF MUSIC, WIZARD OF OZ (Madison Square Garden Recording with Eartha Kitt and Mickey Rooney), URINETOWN, WICKED, YOURE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN.
THANKS!!!!
I love how this has turned into a trading thread. Um NO.
back to the original topic, I find it rather depressing that the weakest parts of the score are the songs sung by the above the title leads, I blame neither performer, they're just clunky songs.
everyone to their own but, i find them the best tbh!
Just around the corner, Morticia, Pulled, What If, The Moon and Me....i love them and their very catchy!
the full company songs, When you're an addams, Lets not talk about anything else but love, Full disclosure, One Normal Night, their exciting and very catchy as well!
the only Clunky song i can find in it is Move towards the Darknes...not a fan lol but none the less, i'll continue to listen to it haha
i only wish that Passionate and True had stayed in, because one love duet between Gomez and Morticia i feel isn't enough lol, but i love Where did we Go Wrong.

Some thoughts:
-The orchestrations sound great
-When "Live Before We Die" starts it sounds IDENTICAL to "Anything Can Happen" from Mary Poppins
-I realize she isn't in the show much, but there's basically NO Jackie Hoffman! Some of her dialogue could have easily been added to "What If" or even "Full Disclosure". I don't think it would have brought down those tracks at all.
-Carolee sounds GREAT in "Waiting"
-I eagerly await "Clandango", which I like much better than "When You're An Addams" (As a song, not as an opening)
