Probably the seemingly most popular show that everyone knows except for me is Ragtime. The shows more popular or revered than that I basically do know all of and in quite depth. But this is frequently talked about and I still have no knowledge

Pretty much every older musical. Even some of the contemporary ones. I couldn't tell ya what happens in Les Miz or Cats or Miss Saigon.

Sweeney and Miss Saigon are also on my list. I, too, don't know much about older shows.

Sweeney Todd.
*ducks*
The only thing I really know about the story comes from that movie Jersey Girl with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.

Company, Follies, Sunday in the Park with George.
Well, I know Sunday. And I have a recording of the Sondheim Concert at Carnegie Hall which has a lot of songs from Company and Follies. But otherwise...zip.

Haha. The only thing I know about Sweeney came from "Jersey Girl" too! How hilarious is that!

Cats (only thing I know is that song Memory and that there were some dancing cats)
a ton of those older shows that were on Broadway before I was born

Wow! I guess I used to be one of those freaks who would memorize the New York Times... and also the Theater Yearbooks that used to come out in the years ago. (Do they still come out?)
I dont know anything about The Pajama Game however, and I know the idea of Urinetown but I dont know the story.

I know one song from Ragtime. "Wheels of a dream" We had to sing it two years in a row for choir
