Alex Edelman’s JUST FOR US to Transfer to Broadway

Thrilled this is getting a second (third?) life with a larger audience. One of those shows I’d been telling everyone to see, and then it closed.

Don’t miss it if you did last time. It was hilarious, but also incredibly poignant and surprising. Will definitely be seeing it again.

Agreed, wholeheartedly. I saw it in London and it was v funny/sharp, but then hits you in the gut. Im skeptical he will be able to sell that size of a theater, for this long, after so many NY (and DC, and Boston) engagements, but more power to him.

Perfect show to fill the Hudson during the summer.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I don't think Google is needed, I think this person wanted us to understand how cool and awesome they are, so much so that they can't even be bothered to know who Alex Edelman is, and they've clearly succeeded.

“I think it was funny when willep said "Who?" and that you all need to CTFO.”

you really didn’t have to out yourself as a fool as well, yet you seemed more than comfortable doing so!

This thread is PEAK BWW. Trolls upon trolls.

Anyway, happy for him and the show! Wish more comedians and artists would do stints like this.

OK, then let's also not pretend that anyone who is able to navigate their way to a BWW chat room doesn't also have the intellectual capacity to google a name, rather than post a snarky comment.

Seriously?

"Who?" is a common retort when someone mentioned is unfamiliar to (or not seen as very noteworthy by) the person making the comment. It usually is not meant literally since anyone could Google the name as you note.

It has been used here many times by many people over the years, often accompanied by the Mariah Carey meme GIF. And comments that some construe as snark fuels much of these threads.

"

So you correctly identify what the word "who" means, but you put the lame snarkiness in parentheses: if you dont know who Alex Edelman is, cool! Its impossible to post on this site without being simultaneously able to figure out who he is within a matter or seconds.

So here "who" meant "thats not even someone whose name I, random commenter on a message board, recognize!" Hence the well-deserved snarky response, because either this person has some personal beef with Alex Edelman that they should work out elsewhere, OR they just want everyone to know how not-famous-enough Alex Edelman is (as his hit show embarks on its 7th or 8th engagement...) Y

our faux-confused reaction to this snarky stupidity is not much better.
