I’m thrilled for Edelman. I personally would LOVE if the Tonys got Whoopi Goldberg to present him the award since she is clearly a fan of his work and they have history.

The single best thing happening on a Broadway stage this season was Nikiya Mathis’s hair and wig design for Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, so this is a great choice. I still wish hair and makeup had a category alongside the other technical categories, but it feels correct to honor this particular achievement.

Just for Us was certainly in my top 5 for this season, so I am THRILLED for Alex. 

We need a Best Hair and Wig Design Tony. But, if we had one, Nikiya Mathis would win with no opposition. So, I'm so glad she's being recognized.

I agree 100% - truly sensational work and some of the wig changes during the show garnered enthusastic applause from the audience.
