Hey. It was announced today. Alice Ripley is playing Mrs. Walker in Pittsburgh CLO's Production of Tommy this summer!I can't wait to see her!!!!

They have not announced who is playing Tommy. I can't wait to hear though....

Ohhhhh...why couldn't this be somewhere closer to me?!?!? I'd love to see Alice in Tommy, but I don't think a jaunt to Pittsburgh is in the cards.

She was, of course, in the La Jolla and original Broadway productions (nurse, local lass, specialist's assistant), so this is sort of a homecoming for her, albeit with a much better role. And she is dazzling in everything she does. I'm sure she'll be wonderful

Yeah, there is a video of Alice when she went on as Mrs. Walker during the original production...apparently she's insanely good. Haven't seen it.
