Is that how you spell her name? Looks wrong, but I don't really know much about her.

Jessica Molaskey (who reminds me of Ripley in so many ways) would be an ideal Diana.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

i tell my friends EVERY DAY how much I'd love to see Andrea McArdle in the role!!! Wow whoever started this has read my mind she is my dream Diana if the brilliant Alice Ripley ever wanted to leave the role.

I think she'd be fabulous...
But, I really think Marla Schaffel would be amazing! I'd love to see what she would do in the role.
Or, Alice Ripley could just do it forever. That would make me happy too!

"my friend and I decided Andrea McArdle would be an amazing replacement for Ripley in Next to Normal. Perfect age, perfect voice. It is such a shame Aundrea hasn't originated something"
Who is Aundrea? I think Andrea is a better fit.

I honestly cannot see Marla Schaffel playing Diana. Isn't her voice a little too legit for a rock score?

I'd much rather see her get to open a show. If no one's going to write one for her, how about Andrea McArdle in Mame? With Harriet Harris as Vera and Boyd Gaines as Beau?

I think Andrea doesn't have enough of a Rock voice. I might get eaten for saying this, but I would actually like to see Daphne Rubin-Vega play this role. She is always surprising us with her acting, and she has a REAL rock voice... Raw, natural, rock... which would really give the score a boost.

I was thinking the same thing about Andrea's voice, but a big no for Daphne! I can't stand her voice. I'd love to see Sherie Rene Scott come back to the role. I think she sounds great on the workshops.

I would love to see Julia Murney take a stab at it. I believe she's only 5 years younger than Alice. I'd also like to see Carolee Carmello or LaChanze in N2N.

I think Andrea McArdle would make a great Diana, but I think she should launch the national tour. (If there is one. There should be.)

Julia or Carolee would be great! I wouldn't mind seeing Andrea either. I'd love to see anyone else's take on the role. Not that I think Alice is not good (she's wonderful!), I'm just excited to see how other people would interpret the role.

I think Andrea McArdle might be good if she can handle the acting part of it.
I love the idea of Daphne Rubin-Vega in the show, she can rock it like no one else and she is actually a great actress particularly because she can do plays as well as musicals.

Now that Carolee is leaving,
I would love to see Andrea tackle
MAMA MIA. with her daughter as her daughter.
If you have ever heard Andrea rock, you know,
Yes She Can.
