And there's the usual doom and gloom you always bring.

On Broadway, the show goes on as producers, union avert looming strike
I'm confused, is the local hairstylists and makeup artists separate from this or are they included in this tentative pink contract deal?

I thought Local 798 was always part of this specific issue, which was the pink contract.

They are separate from this deal.
Also-Let's not categorize this as "doom and gloom". The theatrical community (and I'm speaking of both labor and management)has twice this year successfully avoided work stoppage on the major agreements and contracts that carry our industry. Yes, we went to strike authorization votes in order to secure those last minute deals, but this is a positive sign, especially in comparison to the film and television industry. The system of collective bargaining, while not perfect has worked. Let's be optimistic (as I was in the days leading up to this agreement) that next week will work out in a similar or better fashion..

Really????? Can't you find something more constructive to do with your time?

Yes, it does seem to be working. And a fair deal would be a win for both IATSE and The Broadway League who will prove their continuing usefulness, unlike AMPTP in Hollywood who seem to be doing just the opposite.
