I don't think the "amen" in Rent is supposed to be an accident... I've heard it every time I've listened to the CD.
The thread isn't about accidents. It's about quirks.
I will definetly have to listen for the Aida thing. And I always thought that Idina's giggle was intentional. And the "I have always love you" bugs me EVERY time!
I love the extra Do in Anyone can Whistle!
also, in the 10th anniversary concert of Les Miz, isn't there a prisoner that does an extra "aaaaah uuuuuuuuuh" instead of starting the "look downs"? true, wasn't recorded in a studio, so mistakes are bound to happen in a live concert.
Hahaha, Zep I was just going to mention that.
Also on on the 10 Ann of Les Miz, right after Bamatabois sings "You've got some nerve, you little whore; you've got some gall" theres someone on one of the horns that take 5 pulses instead of four. You can hear them cut it off quickly.
Also on the TAC, in the beginning of Javert's Suicide Colm sings 'Down Javert!' instead of 'LOOK down Javert!'
I think it's code for Valjean/Javert love.

How could you hear "Don't be a b*tch" on WIW? The music is so loud at that part.
And speaking of Les Mis 10th Anniversary, who can forget the loud POP during "Castle on a Cloud"? The poor little Cosette jumped ten feet in the air.
"How could you hear "Don't be a b*tch" on WIW? The music is so loud at that part."
I have excellent hearing. You hear some of the men shouting, and one of them probably says that. Listen VERY VERY VERY closely. It's there. It's about 3:23/ 3:24 minutes/seconds into the song.
guess if you want quirks, you go to live recordings!
Meh, I just wouldn't consider the amen a quirk.
In the Superman Overture, in the middle, you hear bullets can't hurt me etc. In the actual show that dialog ( & Lois Lanes ) comes right before the overture starts
On the 'Into the Woods' London Cast recording, one of the actors, I don't know who, sings the wrong lyric near the end of the Opening Number, it sticks out like you wouldn't believe...everyone sings 'Into the woods to get THE THING..', and one person sings 'Into the Woods to get MY WISH...'...terrible.
Wow. I just finished listening to Another Pyramid, and that is really freaky at the end! I never noticed that!
There's a line in "Loud As the Hell You Want" that after 2 years of owning the cast recording I still can't hear the whole thing
After Gary says "Hell no I won't tell them to quiet down!" Xmas Eve starts saying "I don't know..." and then Kate interupts with "Are we being too loud?"
And then of course there are all the funny comments the guys make during "Special"
Of course there is Elaine Stritch singing very flat in the OBC recording of Company during in the song Company on the line "We Love You".
In Urinetown in the Cop Song at the end of "hoped his son might bail him out section" everyone laughs and I swear it sounds like someone says "Play Ball"

Talking about Idina, what is that sound she makes in "Defining Gravity", I swear (at least to my ears) it sounds like a hiccup.

oh! i finally heard the "suffocate them" at the end of another pyramid. even though i was expecting it, i still jumped and got chills. i'm such a weirdo
That AIDA thing scared the SH*T out of me.lol. I didn't consider the Amen a quirk either, I heard it the first time I listened lol.
I think my favorite is this loud squeeky noise in a musical interlude of "The Temple" on the OBC recording of "Jesus Christ Superstar." Maybe someone dropped something, maybe someone's shoe sqeeked on the floor, but it sounds like a pig squeeling.
Hmmm....was Sally Struthers in the recording studio?
"How could you hear "Don't be a b*tch" on WIW? The music is so loud at that part."
What's WIW? I must've missed something
Just listened for ACL and Aida. The Aida was rather freaky.
Reading back on the other thread that was linked from here, I don't think he says "suffocate them." I think they're right and it sounds more like "so good." Suffocate them is way too many syllables for how quick it was.
The Wicked Finale when somebody sings the last "Wicked" and they are soooo off-key. It's bugged my ever since I got the OBCR.

it was definitely "suffocate them" i listened to it a bunch of times just to make sure and got chills every time.
i cant believe i didnt notice this earlier since i used to listen to it all the time....its so creepy
That "police siren" at the end of What is this feeling is not a police siren. It is just part of the music.
