Isn't the easiest way to start a Matilda thread on here to include "Kinky Boots" in your title?
the dates were originally on Telecharge. But Kinky Boots is now through Ticketmaster and those dates aren't listed on Ticketmaster. It was only like two dates in January & two dates in March.

I purchased tickets through audience rewards and I got my seats today. My seats are in row B of the ORCH. How is the seating in the theater. I've been in the back orch and mezz of the theater. I'm just curious if it's difficult to see the stage from the second row.

The second row should be a pretty good view. It's close, but you'll likely be able to see pretty much everything.

Hi Whizzer thanks so much for your review!
In what ways specifically did Brady play the character differently in a way that made you care? My wife and i saw both porter and the national tour Lola and she also mentioned that she felt like she cared more about Lola with actor playing on tour than she did when she saw billy....
Saw the show yesterday and Brady was FANTASTIC. He's not as over-the-top and fierce as Porter, but his commitment to the role was really evident. A very honest and touching performance. When he first appeared dressed in men's clothing, he appeared too normal and comfortable, but his discomfort trying to be something he's not became clear. His "Hold Me in Your Heart"/moment with his father was VERY touching and well done. His vocals are excellent throughout. Wayne and Andy Kelso work very well together, they make a wonderful team.
The production is still very strong, and it's impossible to resist the infectiousness of the score.

Did anybody wait to see Wayne at the stage door? Based on anyone's experience was the stage door crowded? Did Wayne stay awhile and sign and take pictures?

To go back to answer the question in the title of this thread...Ben Brantley went back to see it again.

According to instagram, he signs and takes pictures and is very nice.
Even though in the privacy of my own home I'd agree with every remark about the audience, it's an awfully patronizing and snotty take for a theater critic. Especially the Times. And outside of (fair) criticism (of the show anyway) didn't Harvey and Cindi most want to bring the straight and narrow into the theater and learn 'em a thing or three? Like the characters in the show? Wasn't the goal to introduce to the mainstream audience these mildly subversive elements about gender and sexuality, and win them over? It's not exactly a niche downtown drag show; it's an accessibly big b'way musical, and what would b'way do without Republicans with deep pockets? I can't believe I'm defending them. Yet Brantley's arrogance here seems smug.

What he writes about the audience is pure projection on his part.
Does he still get wedgies regularly?
