I have heard it said more than once that those who are looking for theatre tickets should not use stub hub. That, the tickets my not be legit tickets.
That being said, I use stub hub a lot for both sporting events as well as concerts with that never being an issue. That said, I am on the fence (for no reason other than nerves) to use them for theatre tickets. I am well aware of their fan protection guarantee but still. I was wondering if anyone had any success stories from buying tickets to a show via stub hub.
They're the nicest people going. Have used them multiple times & there's never a line to pick up. I wish every ticket organization were as nice, friendly and courteous as they were. Right on the corner of 39th & Broadway.
That's what I thought. Like I said, one would think that, if I used them for other events before with zero issue, then I shouldn't have an issue with them. I think that perhaps it was some of the untrue things said about them regarding theatre tickets.
It's not uncommon on stub hub, regardless of the event, for the seller to lower the price of the tickets if it's getting closer to the start time. That way, they may not be able to get what they initially sol it for, but something is better than nothing. Seeing that, to me at least, should have been and indicator that things are not going to be a problem. I mean, the show in question that I was looking for there was My Fair Lady.
I’ve sold Hamilton tickets there, it’s really smooth and you can get refunds if the tix are not real. It’s one of the best places to buy 3rd party tix.

I’ve seen multiple shows and gotten my tickets from stub hub and I’ve never once been denied entry. I bought tickets for ben platt’s last show through them and they were in fact legit. You don’t have to worry no one I’ve ever gone to shows with has had a problem.
Got a good price day before for a Frozen Orchestra seat. Could have gotten $75 second row center for Bernadette in Dolly day before but my hubby wouldn't let me go without him.

I second this - I got last minute concert tickets on stubhub that weren't listed as partial view online but were marked PV on the ticket once I got it - they immediately gave me full view seats in the same section that were better than what I had paid for at no extra cost, and are very good with refunds if need be as well. I bought a ticket for Angels on there once and almost did frozen one day when it got down to $15 close to curtain and there are definitely times when it's the best route to go! No harm in keeping an eye out or setting price alerts
Out of many times, there have only been two where I had issues. The first time, the tickets were fraudulent, and we were immediately given new (better) seats after a quick phone call. Another time, the ticket had been sold twice and I was relocated to a worse seat. It was the last seat in the building so I had to take it. To make up for it, Stubhub loaded $100 into my account to go see another show. On the rare occasion there is an issue, I’ve never heard of them not making it right.

I bought from StubHub when I wanted to see the OBC of Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen. I don’t live in NY, so I was nervous both times since I had heard the rumors that occasionally some tickets might be fake, and these were two highly sought after shows. Even though StubHub has that guarantee, I would have still been out money for plane tickets and hotel. I got to the venues super early so I could call StubHub ASAP in case I had a problem with the tickets. But my tickets were legit! I would do it again, even though I completely understand why it makes you nervous!
Extremely happy with StubHub. Bought over 6 tickets on different occasions to Hamilton moments before curtain, bought Adele, Beyoncé, Barbra Streisand, Bruno Mars, Yankee playoffs, all without incidents. My sister had a ticket issue with a concert I purchased for her and StubHub upgraded her seat to a better one. They have very good customer service to handle issues. Tick Pick...not so much. Rather pay the crazy fees on StubHub knowing that they'll help in a pinch than pay no fees and not be able to get the other half of my party into a baseball playoff game til the 7th inning due to ticket issues.

Feel free to use StubHub."
Did you use the mobile app for digital ticket transfer?
I have bought a few times and have sold MANY times. Only had one small issue. Their customer support team is amazing! I had someone purchase 2 tickets from me and then cancel the order an hour later. Stubhub charged my credit card for the tickets because the buyer told them a BS story. The girl I spoke to immediately refunded that charge and tole me to resist the same tickets and they would pay me wether the tickets sold or not. I actually have it in writing rom the email the sent a few hours later. They are very PRO Customer! I highly recommend them.
Successfully used Strub Hub..Transparent transactions, friendly helpful personnel. Midtown Office location helpsful to expedite selling or buying last minute theater tickets-especially if don't have E-Tix.. A Win/Win.
Yes. I bought DEH tickets to see Ben Platt in October last year and the ticket was fine. I was one of the first people to enter the theatre and get my ticket scanned just in case the seller sold the same ticket on another website as well.
Had a success with My Fair Lady, picked up two tix at 50 each, and when I got the tix, face value was 96 + fees! No problems, except that it is important to remember there is no cart feature, and someone else can take your tix even when you are about to pay.

FWIW that sounds like the smart thing to do, not paranoid. Why take the risk when you have an option that's just as good?
I've only used StubHub for concerts, but I've never had a problem. They're owned by eBay, so it's not like it's a fly-by-night and they do stand by their refund policy for fradulent tickets.
