I was wondering if anyone had seen Savannah and Wes' last show in RoA tonight!

There were a lot of people there, most could care less about it being anyone's last day.
However, some of the cast from Addams Family went to see it.

Posted: 9/14/09 at 12:39amI was there. Minus the fact that the girl behind me got really drunk and threw up in her seat and all over the floor, it was a good night and great show. Jeremy Jordan was on for Constantine (which I was very happy about) and I thought he was wonderful. You could barely hear over all the cheering every time Wesley came out on stage though. He got like a 5 minute standing O after "Hit Me With Your Best Shot".

Posted: 9/14/09 at 1:02amThankfully, it was during intermission, and I was a few rows up talking to a friend who was also there. If I had actually seen/heard it happened, it would have totally grossed me out. But I got to see the lovely after effects. She left and the poor theater workers came and cleaned up. But yes. Gross and probably not the first time.

Posted: 9/14/09 at 1:57amI hope the producers set aside money to clean up the theatre after they vacate.

Posted: 9/14/09 at 2:15amDid she inform someone that her vomit was there? I was at Disney World once, and some lady's kid threw up, and she just put a napkin on top of it and walked away.

Well, I guess we know what those theater restoration ticket fees are being used for at the Brooks Atkinson.

That made me laugh so hard! I guess there is no need to have beer involved to have this type of outcomes. LOL!!!

"Did she inform someone that her vomit was there?"
Even if she didn't, I am sure someone would bring something up to an usher.
Leia, what row was this so I can avoid it? Lol.

Posted: 9/14/09 at 6:44amWhen I saw the show in July two drunk girls kept throwing drinks at people from the box seats.

Posted: 9/14/09 at 8:55amI am wondering, do they cut people off or just let them drink themselves silly?

Posted: 9/14/09 at 9:50amIck. Just knowing someone has vomited makes me feel queasy. But this is not unique to something like Rock of Ages. I've seen it happen in practically every theatre I've worked in. You don't have to serve drinks during a show or even in the theatre at all to attract people who may have knocked back a few too many.

Posted: 9/14/09 at 10:05amExactly. In my old theater, one night when I was checking for lost items, I came across a large pool of vomit at one of the seats. The weird thing is, no one had left the house during the show. The person had puked, and stayed for the rest of the show.

People do get cut off.
Sooner than they would be in a bar or restaurant.
The problem (and thing to remember) is that people come in drunk from dinner many times. So that makes it hard to know how much they've had/how many more they can be served.
Normally 3 rounds of drinks is the serving limit - but not knowing they had 3 rounds before getting to the theatre can cause some unwanted craziness.
