Rumor has it that Sing Street is already signed up for the Lyceum.

I saw Almost Famous in San Diego and loved it. I do, think, however, that a couple of roles in the show need to be recast with more seasoned Broadway veterans. Solea is the one cast member who is definitive in her role.

Last night at the Light in the Piazza stage door Solea said that they are currently aiming for Broadway in the fall.

I wonder if the August Wilson might be a possibility. Mean Girls is expensive to run and they're resorting to stunt casting a somewhat unqualified YouTube star. Maybe they're on the way out?

Disappointed as I am that we won’t get to see this until next fall, I am glad that they didn’t opt for the Marquis (if it was even available to them).

Not a confirmation necessarily, but I found a New York EPA listing today that says the production will rehearse in August, preview in October, and then open in November. Hmm...

I don't think it was ready for Broadway this season, the book needs some editing and some of the parts should be recast as well.

I’m not seeing anything about the Nederlander I’m that listing. Where did you hear that?

Interesting that they’re not showing the part of William as being cast. Casey Likes received near glowing reviews, so I’m sure that the producers are hoping to sign him.

Anyone know the instrumentation/size of the band that they used in the pre-run for the orchestra? Was is just a rock band or more filled out?

It says all roles are cast, and they are seeking only a standby for William. Seems like all of the premiere principals are transferring.

I have to admit the cast is a little “eh.” A lot of boring, moderate performers.

Most of the principals were strongly reviewed in San Diego, particularly Likes, Larsen and Solea.
