When i came out, it was a surprise!!!LOL!!!

Posted: 8/3/06 at 1:18pmI was raised in an era (and an environment), where Broadway musicals were among the popular tunes of the day, heard on radio, and featured on television variety hours. No one put a label on it, other than good or bad. My maternal grandfather introduced me to Broadway musicals, when he brought over his cast recordings, then he actually took me to see the London production of MY FAIR LADY, starring most of the Broadway cast. My parents also supported the arts, including Broadway shows. It is, in more recent years, that this label of gay has been associated with it. It seems to have coincided with the decline of good breeding and class, in America. And, that's not a rich vs. poor statement. Back in the 50's and 60's, class and good taste had nothing to do with wealth. I'm happy that all three of my sons, have an appreciation for musical theater, and don't seem to be the least bit embarrassed by it. They were raised on it.

WORDS TO LIVE BY:
As we stumble along on life's funny journey. As we stumble along into the blue. We look here and we look there, seeking answers anywhere. Never sure of where to turn or what to do.
Still we bumble our way through life's crazy labyrinth. Barely knowing left from right nor right from wrong. And the best that we can do is hope a blue bird, will sing his song as we stumble along.

Posted: 8/3/06 at 2:16pmI'm a straight guy and actually got into theater because of an ex-girlfriend of mine who was a drama minor in college. I still retain that love of theater that I developed out of our relationship.
