I got something out of voting. A tour of a stranger's house. Seriously, our polling station is in someone's house, there were a queue of us in this person's living room and dining room.
As long as they didnt take you to the Bedroom dear you are fine lol
I wouldn't have complained, the guy was hot. However, I don't think my best friend would have been happy, I had to bully him into voting and practically drag him to the polling station. And the guy really wasn't his type.
My friends and I, armed with Liberal Democrat rosettes, were abused by a taxi driver, who told us, in now simpler terms, that we were f***ing c***s and that he would only ever vote for the BNP. Poor, poor passengers.
Hot guys at the polling station? no fair! All I got was a guy reading a fantasy novel behind the desk, looking a bit like comic-book guy in the Simpsons.
Maybe I'm on nobody's side

A few years back it was so easy to provoke London cabbies - all you had to do was say "So, Ken Livingstone...", and off they'd go.
It still works if you go 'So, good Ol' Borris...', only instead of going off on one they hit their head on the steering wheel and say 'I had nothing to do with it!'
I think I must have lucked out with the hot guy at the Polling Station, judging by everyone else's remarks. That must me my luck for the day then - no doubt because of this the Tories will get in here and in the UK overall.
BBC for me. There were a few surreal moments in the programme - my favourite phrase of the night: when Dimbleby and co were talking about when it was time to "activate the Queen". Is that really the correct phrase? He also mentioned something about Facebook having been "abolished".
What we know of the overall result is hardly a surprise, but I'm absolutely gutted about my local result - one of the best MPs lost his job by only about a hundred votes thanks to a ridiculous campaign by an extremist group that the Tories happily went along with (and even adopted parts of) despite it being completely untrue. We now have a young, ultra-religious Tory with no relevant experience whatsoever.
I agree a poor night for the Liberals, despite a good TV campaign, which Gordon Brown was very brave to be the first prime minister to go along with this.
As for me, my Tory MP increased his majority by 3.8%, I must of been the only one not to vote for him.
He is genuinely and unashamedly left-wing, so I suppose it's not surprising that papers like the Mail did as much to discredit him as they could. (Needless to say, that article gives absolutely no impression of what he's really like at all.)
My constituency stuck with Labour which is no shock whatsoever, although they did drop 3.2 to the Tories. And the Lib Dems decreased their voting share from last time. I think the Lib Dems have lost votes largely on people voting Labour in the hope to keep the Tories out. I didn't vote Labour, but I'm glad they won as I actually like our MP. Well, he's always done well for my family.
So we have a hung Parliament - when do we start hanging them?
I enjoyed reading The Daily Mail article, even though The Daily Mail does some brilliant Journalism, for non political articles.
However when it comes to politics the paper is so distorted, it will write whatever it wants its readers want to hear, as long as it is conservative or anti-union, when I have been on strike I have seen the liars first hand, I can understand people not liking strikes, but to deceive the reader is wrong, whether it is 'trade union' or 'political'.
That article in The Daily Mail is deliberately written to undermine Evans Davis, the use of photo, a bad one and using emotive words such as "his fanaticism", "Unmarried and without children", "Though of Jewish origin, he is an aggressive secularist", just 3 examples of many to paint Evans in a bad light.
The Daily Mail is the worst British paper, very toxic and at best should be used to wrap chips in.
It's a terrible paper, but I don't think it's as bad as The Sun, which somehow gets away with feeding absurdly right-wing politics to mostly working class readers. Quite how that happened I don't know!
I'd forgotten one of the (few) joys of watching the election coverage: the crazy candidates. Guy who looked like a reject from The Matrix was standing against Brown, and rather more surprisingly, Jesus Christ appeared to be standing against Cameron in Witney. This was our local 'crazy': http://tinyurl.com/32h3tsu
I don't seem to actually know anyone who voted Conservative - even my parents and my nan either voted Lib Dem or Labour. I've been trying to find someone who will own up to it all day, but everyone has said they didn't. Apparently, Conservatives are ashamed to be Conservatives.
