I've only experienced booing in a Broadway theatre twice:
Anthony Newley in The Roar of the Greasepaint-The Smell of the Crowd (the 2nd time I saw it)
Elizabeth Taylor in The Little Foxes
Not sure why it happened either time as both performances were excellent!

Posted: 8/29/06 at 1:31pmHey, my SN is muscle23ftl! Anyways, even if it happened, which by the actors you mention, it must have been a long time ago, I've never heard anyone booing at any theatre performace, and it was a joke. Just a joke.
