I'm disappointed, as the show will be gone by the time I get to NYC next week. It was on my list of shows to see. I guess I'll have to wait for the tour to play DC.
It is sad that it is closing, but we have definitely not seen the last of this talented cast and crew. Here's to whatever the future brings them!!
Very upsetting !! Loved this show ! Might be in the minority here, but liked it a lot more than "Spamalot" !!!
Telecharge finally acknowledged that the show was closing around 11:00 - thankfully, I was able to change my 05.29 tickets to this Saturday (still good orchestra seats, I guess that's why they're closing)... Standing O for the telecharge guy - he was fantastic!
It's MUCH better than Brklyn - will this hurt Sutton's Tony chances? (I'm pulling for Christina anyway)
I changed my tickets to friday *happy dance*

Since she had no chance to win this years Tony I'd say no, the closing doesn't affect Sutton Fosters Tony chances one bit.
Changed my date to Sunday! Closing night, I'm going to cry...
Sutton has a semi good chance, though the show wasn't that popular she put up a hell of a performance.

I hate how everyone has written off Sutton for the Tony. Not everyone though Victoria was jaw-droppingly perfect in Piazza.
I honestly don't think that Victoria Clark deserves the Tony, she isn't the memorable character in the Light in the Piazza for me. Maybe I'm one of the few, but I think that Sutton did an amazing job in Little Women and I hope that in light of the sad news, she receives a Tony.

If she takes it home, she makes history or something....Winning Leading Actress Twice (in a row?) Before age 30..or something like that. Wow, such talent for such a young age! I'm so amazed...
I have always been a Sutton fan. She has a set of Pipes that will reach Kansas and she is a great actress.
But Little Women was so sugary it gave me tooth decay by the second act.
It really was sugary. I thought the singers were all incredible but the shining moments were Maureen.
Maureen made it worth seeing.
I KNOW that Sutton will find another great show to perform in soon. She is a star.
I hope Maureen will play in some small cabaret houses. She blew me away. Her voice is a gift.

i thought sutton was much better than victoria clark. i would hand her the tony without ever second guessing. but i thought piazza was a better show and i still think clark will probably get the award. though the closing might help sutton's chances slightly.
i miss LW already.... i was supposed to go saturday but my friend isnt allowed to come in.... blah.
Sutton IS amazing in this show..and actually I find a lot of the music awesome..I want to sing Astonishing in my voice lessons next semester.
I really wish I lived in NYC, I'd love to be there on Sunday...it's sad.
All I can say about it is this: it was definitely better than I thought it was going to be, but having said that, I actually can't believe it lasted even this long - it was just a pretty lame show for the most part.
I'm sad that this show is closing.
I'm a "Little Women" freak. Growing up "Little Women" was a big part of my childhood. My mom got me the Hepburn version from the library and I became obsessed. I've seen the Elizabeth taylor version but I thought June Alyson's Jo was a little weak. When Winona Ryder (my favorite actress) came out with the most recent version, I saw it in the movie theatre, 3 times. There were other LW obsession fact but let's fast forward to last spring when I heard about the musical. I wanted to see the show with my mom, so we finally bought tickets for mother's day.
I went in think that I wouldn't enjoy it because I think the story is a better play. Putting that aside, I really enjoyed myself. I really enjoyed Sutton, but I disliked her wigs. Wish they made jo dance a little more.
But whoever wrote the beautiful song, "Days of Plenty" really created a beautiful song. The lyrics really got to me and I think it really sums up the characters of Marmie/Jo/Beth.
I'm going to try again to see the show and I'll bet I'll be weeping like a baby.
Good luck to the cast and crew.

I went again last nite, I scored awesome tickets the morning of for my family, center orch 7th row! I had seen it in previews but it was even better the 2nd time. I'm sooo sad it's closing! It's such a wonderful show. The whole cast just meshes so well together. Sutton was amazing as usual, she was crying at many parts of the show, and especially at curtain call. So sad that it couldn't find it's audience, I hope they all go on to bigger and better things!
