me too.

i'm so upset about this. despite the reviews, i personally adored this show. the story had my dad crying (my dad NEVER cries)as well as my entire family. each performer was outstanding. i hate to see it go.

I saw this coming but not this soon. It's sad but at least there will be a tour.

FindYourGrail, what does your post have ANYTHING to do with this thread? Totally random and kind of silly, no offense.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I saw it last weekend. It is such a cute show. It should run for longer.

Has the Virginia ever had a hit? The three Virginia shows that come to mind--"Carrie," LSOH and now "Little Women"--have all been flops.

City of Angels had a healthy run at the Virginia.

The producers tell the company before they release the info, right? I would hate to be in a show and learn that it is closing online. They probably told the company tonight when they arrived and then released the info right away.

Wow, so CLOSE to Tony time. They couldn't hang on two more weeks?

This is sad news. I've seen better shows, yes, but I've seen many, many shows that were not as good that ran much longer. I'm sorry they couldn't make it work.

I just got off the phone with Telecharge... same story that was already posted - they know nothing about the show closing... can't discuss a refund or exchange until they know something... I said "I'm on BWW right now and there are three other sites that are all listing the same thing" and he verbally pats me on the head and says, "Yes, I understand, but y'see, the Tonys haven't happened yet, and it wouldn't make sense for them to close before the Tonys - and, besides... everyone thought Sweet Charity was going to close and that didn't happen!" (Jeez)

When such a beautiful show has to close before it really should. I cannot believe the news. It's like I've been hit in the gut. I've seen it over 30 times! But never had a chance to see it on Broadway.

I'm sad for them. I mean I thought it would close but not this soon and so abruptly. I was hoping they'd hold on for summmer when more families would be able to attend. Sad for Sutton and the rest of the cast. re: THIS IS A SAD DAY FOR ME...
