I love this idea in a general sense. Does this score really need it? Most would probably say no. I would like this to happen with other recordings, though.

I’ve seen this show a number of times and just have the best time while I’m there. But not once outside of being in the theater, have i ever had a desire to listen to the music.

I suppose it’s MUCH cheaper to put this out than to record the Broadway cast, with the release of this feeling like an “event!” for Broadway audiences in lieu of an OBC that they might otherwise buy around this time.

Well I've placed my order already.  I listen to these songs regularly.  Mainly the Doc Brown songs, but still.  I appreciate that most people aren't fussed about this album - the Spotify numbers bear that out - but I adore the cheesiness of it all.
