An independent though from Michael, I actually think people who know sign language are incredibly hot (a weird fetish of mine). I guess it means they're good with their hands, and they're attentive.
I think I would hyperventilate and seriously swoon if I saw seeing Michael doing sign language. *huff huff huff*
I SAW MICHAEL DOING SIGN LANGUAE TODAY...IT WAS UH SEEXY
Mesmerized-No, I'm just a broadway geek who knew about Big River and such.
Blue-I AGREE!!! I find it strangely hot...hmmm
Big River was the one Broadway show last season that I most wanted to see but wasn't able to. (And this was before discovering Michael Arden. I just thought the production looked so unique and awe-inspiring!)
LOL Crazy4MM, you must have been standing near me because I was like two feet away from Michael during the sign language conversation. He was adorable... he really looked so focused on what the other guy was saying, and at one point he threw back his head and started laughing hysterically, and started signing back really fast like he totally agreed with what the guy just said. It was so fascinating to watch.
For those of you who haven't met Michael in person, I really feel for you... he's just the most gorgeous and generous guy ever. He has these amazing eyes and this amazing smile and he's just all-around SWOONWORTHY. I showed the picture he took with me to my mom and she's like, "Wow, what a looker!" *sigh* It's times like this I really hate being a straight girl...
*dies* He is amazing...seriously all this great stuff about him makes me admire him so much. Jeez this boy has so much going for him! He better find a nice boyfriend to go along with him
Yah, I showed my friends a picture of Michael and me that was taken when I saw BARE in May, and their reaction was also, "Wow, he's really gorgeous!"
cowbell I agree with you 120%, especially the straight girl part!!!! We meet him once but it was by surprise and it took the entire conversation for it to sink in who we were talking to...maybe thats a good thing!
Are you going to share the picture with the rest of us?
Hey All,
I literally just walked in the door. Broadway at Bryant Park was awesome and the cast sounded great. I haven't had a chance to catch up on the posts but I will later.
Had a LONG day. After seeing the cast, Trisky, my friend Nick and I helped out a friend with auditions for his show. I am so damn tired.
Yeah, so the cast looked and sounded wonderful. Michael is amazing. Heart cannot take it. Blah, blah, blah! I know what you really want.
I also fangirled all over Drew Lachey who was really sweet and HOT! He's short but his arms are massive! Yes, I am 12. :P
More details to follow but I have so much to catch up on. PMs to the usual suspects to follow!
Trisky and Newcomer, had an AMAZING time with y'all. Newcomer, thanks so much sweetie for saving us the table. You're amazing. Expect an e-mail from me.
Thanks MOG!
I've decided to keep my Michael swooning down a little, it's becoming childish...blah
But he looks amazing, and I'm sure sounded amazing. I cannot express what an inspiration he is to me...just AMAZING.
Thanks again MOG for the amazing pictures!
Great pics... LOL Michael looks really confused in the last one.
And yes, Drew Lachey's arms are HUGE! Almost bigger than he is.
Thanks for the pics, MoG! Michael looks adorable, as usual. And wow, Adam looks sexy. Never noticed that before!
Will this get me kicked out of the thread? Oh well... here goes...
I did not like Adam in the role of Jason, not at all. On any level.
But other than that... Michael and Natalie both added riffs to their songs that they hadn't sung before. They sounded fantastic. I was so glad to see Bare get a good reception from the crowd and it was a good move to have them hand out the CD samplers themselves. I'll try and contain myself over the internal squee I do whenever I hear Michael sing and see him interact with fans. He's just such a genuine guy, at least from where I'm standing.
Funny enough, at the auditions we helped out with we met another Bare freak. It was quite random.
Oh and BlueWizard, afterwards I picked up your book recommendation. I'm going to try and start reading it this weekend!
Oooh, that's so exciting! I love having book discussions. I hope you enjoy it, I think it's a real gem.
So Michael handed out the samplers himself at the Park? Didn't he get swamped with fans? I know if I was there, I'd engage him in a lengthy conversation (ie. giggle-and-drool fest).

I guarentee Trisky will get hateful PMs from broadwayguy! jk
He was surrounded by a bunch of people, as was Jenna, who handed out a few of the samplers as well. But he's so patient and kind to everyone, that I'm not sure he gets overwhelmed easily.
However, this was the first time I noticed that he seemed nervous on stage. His mic was literally shaking in his hand. I don't know if it was just his grip or what, but for it to be visible to me from that far away made me think he was nervous.
LOL, WhatdoINeed, I'm ready! Seriously, give me until tomorrow and you guys can judge for yourselves.
Probably because of the huge crowd in the sunlight, not hidden in the dark. How many people were there? I'm thinking thousands?
No, not that many. I'd say maybe 500-600 people? It wasn't terribly crowded, but I'm a bad judge of dimensions.
I noticed Michael's shaking mic, too. I think it was at the end of Are You There. His hand was shaking so much that he had to use two hands to hold the mic.
WhatDoINeed - Haha, I'M probably the one who'll be getting the hateful pms from BroadwayGuy... my bad Adam experience has left me a little bitter. But I'll give Adam the benefit of the doubt in case he was having a... rough day or something. *shrug*

Not only do I find sign language incredibly sexy, I also find nervousness is hot, too.
Maybe I just have a Michael Arden fetish.
Woh, I come back to the thread and BlueWizard has a new picture!
I'm going to miss the fuzzy guy. Sniff. :)
Anyhoo, I thought Michael might have been a bit nervous too but he still sounded amazingly amazing. And he was so sweet to everyone both before and after the show. The love, the love.
Natalie sounded really, really great during "Quiet Night Alone". She rocks.
And I love Adam's voice (his version of "Volcano" at Joe's Pub was amazing) but it was hard for me to get past the "not John-ness" of it all during "One".

Oh man I wish i had been there!!! I wanna hang out with trisky and mog and do BARE things sooo bad! :)
I'm going to miss the fuzzy guy. Sniff. :)
Oh, he'll be back, don't you worry. I just thought I'd add some Michael-lovin' into my icon.
Michael and Aaron have performed "Are You There?" numerous gigs at a wide variety of gigs and concerts. Since they're performing the song out of context, how do they do the sung dialogue in the second verse, and specifically the "wine"?
WhatdoINeed, you always have a seat at our table, whenever you get down here!
As for Are You There, they pretty much play it straight, the same way they do in the show, just without having an actual bottle of wine between them.
During One, they cut out the Ivy/Jason sex and just sort of had them flirting/kissing in the corner today.
michael looks really good with short hair....very cute in those pics
