He was at todays matinee! I evesdropped on his convorsation (which I know was bad but I couldn't help it) and he said "I've never seen the show before today! It was great! I can't wait to be in it!" I didn't say much to him! I went up to him and apoligized for bothering him but he didn't care and he was sssoooo nice!

"He's hot if I don't say so myself!"
The fact that you already said it kinda makes the "don't" irrelevant...
All joking aside, I'm suprised it was his first time seeing it since he's going to be starring in it soon.

Um.
You already made a Spelling Bee thread.
Why couldn't you just add you seeing Barrett in there?

Well, I wanted a different one for him!
Sorry! I didn't realize I typed the word don't! lol

Err... regardless of whether or not he's seen it, he's already done rehearsals, so why on earth would he make a comment like that? And why would he not have seen the show?

Well sorry, but it's pretty pointless if you ask me.
And your over-use of the exclamation point is getting on my nerves.

"he said "I've never seen the show before today! It was great! I can't wait to be in it!""
That seems kind of weird...I don't think that's true.
Evesdropping is wrong, especially when you get the story wrong.

You are just asking to be hated by everyone on this board...

"I went to see my friend Todd Buonopane when he took over the role of William Barfee for three weeks in THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. He was just great. 3 weeks later, I saw him go on for Leaf Coneybear, and there he was being terrific all over again: Funny, sounded great, didn't miss a beat or a laugh. I was so impressed at his versatility - two completely different roles! Wow. And what a clever show. (Needless to say, my other friend, Celia Keenan-Bolger, gives a remarkable (Tony-nominated) performance as Olive... I've seen the show three times now, and that girl never ceases to amaze me."
directly from his website....so i think something doesnt match up....
Too funny!

Oddly enough, I was thinking about doing that...I was pretty sure Barrett wrote something about it.

Ahahahah! Oh, that's too, too funny. Gosh, I feel like I'm in high school, picking on someone.
I'm loving it. :)

I saw him and heard him! I know that! Beleive what you want! I don't care!
perhaps a severe misinterpretation?
NathanLaneStalker- Oy, whatever you say honey. No offense, but I'll believe Barret's website over you any day.
By the way, there is nothing I hate more than people who use a million exclamation marks, which forces everyone here to have to scroll 12 miles across the screen just to finish reading one sentence. So let's get it under control, shall we?
not only exclamation marks..but the reeaaaalllly long dribble that goes way too far over and i must scroll. Come on people, i'm lazy (no seriously i am)

Ummm...First off, he has seen the show before, as was pointed out by a few members of this board. Second, seeing him there is nothing special. In fact, until he actually begins performances, he will be watching the show frequently. Replacement actors are generally required to watch the performer they are replacing (more for blocking purposes and interaction with the other actors). I wouldn't be surprised if he's watching the show every time, thoguh he mght not be in a regualar seat.

CAN I GET AN AMEN.

Oh, how to turn yourself from a suspiciously-odd poster to a preached-against oddball! You're an overnight sensation, buddy. Do you hear me? An overnight sensation!!!...(! x55)
Thank god this kid has finally been called on his bullsh*t. Can we begin the lynching already?
Barrett had definitely seen the show before... a friend of mine mentioned that he and Sarah were standing behind her in the lobby talking about "how great it is to be part of a cast where everybody's such good friends offstage" and how he can't wait to join the show.

Well that's what I heard him say! Maybe he said something about the first time he saw it! Saying something like "I didn't see it until last week!" But I DID see him and that's what I heard! Why would I lie about this? If I wanted to lie about something I wouldn't choose this! And if this helps: he was with a chubby friend with brown curly hair! That help?
