Hi all...

BCEFA's fall collections/donations for signed items began tonight.

Superior Donuts had signed programs for $20.
Nothing at Hamlet or Memphis yet.

I was told that Wicked, Mary Poppins, Phantom and STEADY RAIN were starting tonight/this weekend as well.

If someone saw A STEADY RAIN tonight, can you tell me what they had for sale and how much it cost? I heard they were going to print up a limited number of posters to have Hugh and Daniel sign.

I'll keep you guys updated if I find out more information...keep everyone posted on new collection information.

A STEADY RAIN is selling signed Playbills for $100, signed posters for $300 and photos with both Hugh & Daniel for $1000. They also auctioned off I believe their t-shirts at tonight's performance, for $5000 each. There were many people on line for photos. A STEADY RAIN probably raised close to $30,000 just tonight.

Yup. And there was no shortage of people willing to pay it either. The line stretched from onstage, through the side door and down the right side of the Orchestra.

Maybe the record set by The Boy from Oz in the GYPSY campaign in 2003 will finally be beaten re: BCEFA FALL COLLECTIONS

If they continue to auction off their t-shirts after each show, and judging by the response last night they could take in anywhere from $750,000 to $1,400,000 by the time the 6 weeks is up!
Eta: Posters at A STEADY RAIN are now $400 each, two for $700, and photos are $2000. I'm really curious just how much their final collections total will be! By tonight they'll be over $100,000 so it's pretty much a given that they'll break any and all records!

Hair had signed posters for $100 and signed playbills for something like $40 (I'm not really sure how much those were). They also auctioned off Berger's yellow shirt signed by Will Swenson and the Mick Jagger poster signed by Bryce Ryness.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me when most of the shows began the fundraising? Thanks

SHREK has signed posters ($40) & Playbills ($20), Freak flags ($20 or $10), & pins ($5). I think WEST SIDE STORY is also collecting, though I don't know what. Probably just posters & Playbills. I believe MEMPHIS has started collecting. BILLY ELLIOT also is selling items, not sure what they have yet.

Great for A Steady Rain, I'm shocked at how much some people will pay.

I have a question, why don't show sell all year round?

BYE BYE BIRDIE & AFTER MISS JULIE are not doing anything yet. Whether they will start next week or not, that I don't know. MARY POPPINS, if it's the same as last year, sells signed posters, signed bookmarks & aprons, unless they've added something new.

As of Friday Marvelous Wonderettes was making a plea for donations and cast members had buckets but there were no special items being sold. Personally, I think they could make some decent money from selling pictures with the cast for $20.

If people are paying it then it's not that ridiculous. I think it's very smart of them. They know there's a demand and see an opportunity to get as much money for BC/EFA as they can.

Just an innocent question: Do they ever sell Carols for a Cure at the theatre? Or should I just order online? Thanks!
