I heard at NEWSical, that the 1st $100,000.00 will be for Tsunami relief in Japan.
Surprised to see Priscilla still isn't doing any thing. Maybe in the lead up to the opening they haven't had the time to do the Playbill signing, which seems like the least any show could do.

Posted: 4/4/11 at 7:53pmThe How to Succeed playbills were $50 this past Friday night and they sold out....must be the reason they raised the prices.

I was at 'How to Succeed' on Saturday night, and signed Playbills were going for $60. ... Why isn't anything collected on Sunday? What's the reasoning behind that?
Meantime, the N.Y. Daily News today has an account of what happened when Radcliffe played auctioneer for BC/EFA ...
N.Y. Daily News: Radcliffe plays auctioneer, too

Saw the Hair tour up in Boston, they were collecting via buckets and were selling signed posters for either $40 or $50, depending on the show. Not really sure why the price changed.
Also, Matt DeAngelis was offering a kiss for $20, no idea if anyone ever took him up on it. lol.

This past Friday, Billy Elliot didn't collect. It was at their 1,000 performance and they gave out pins to the audince which read something like: I attended the 1,000 Performance of Billy Elliot. The audience went nuts when told, you'd think we were on Oprah when she gave out cards.
While it was sweet, I'd have rather given money to BC/EFA.
The next day we saw Chicago with Christie Brinkley and they were collecting. The were selling her limited poster -- signed for 100 bucks (I think). She was so awful, and totally brought the show down that it really affected their collection. I'd never seen so many empty buckets at any collection before. So sad.
I didn't realize there was no collection on Sundays: is that true for every show??? I never realized.

Posted: 4/13/11 at 9:39amThat isn't necessarily true; AMERICAN IDIOT collected this past Sunday.
