This past weekend, ANGELS IN AMERICA was offering Playbills signed by the company for $25.00 each - cast members were also on-hand for donations.
I found it odd that Priscilla didn't offer anything tonight. Tony Sheldon gave the speech, but nothing was offered for sale, not even signed Playbills or posters. I would think they're sitting on a gold mine with stuff they could sell, given the nature of the show (signed shoes, feather boas, etc.).

I didn't realize there was no collection on Sundays: is that true for every show??? I never realized.
No, that's just for HOW TO SUCCEED. For every(?) other show, if they have a performance, they'll collect after it.
adamgreer, they may have ran out of signed materials to sell. I don't know how well they have been selling, but I've seen that happen at other shows, usually by the next day or two they'll have more signed.
FYI- This past Sunday was the last day of collection for American Idiot.
BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO was offering signed Playbills for $40.00 & signed posters for $100.00.
Has anyone seen Good People recently?
I heard that they might've stopped collecting for BCEFA and I was hoping to go this weekend to pick up a signed poster, but I dont want to waste the trip if they're no longer collecting.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I saw Good People at the Saturday matinee 4/16 and they did not make a speech or have the red collection buckets at the exit. I tried to look for signed posters/Playbills at the exit but did not see any. Now I wish I had looked harder for merchandise, because I can't seem to find anything online (would love a window card) and now I'm back home in Atlanta. I did get to catch Becky Ann Baker, Renee Elise Goldsberry, and Tate Donovan at the stage door in the rain and was very appreciative that they stopped to sign. But I would have donated for full cast signed poster or Playbill!
Maybe someone can advise if they are collecting at other performances, and if anyone knows where I can get a window card online?
equinn, keep checking the BCEFA Ebay auctions, they regularly have signed show posters both current past. The GOOD PEOPLE poster is awesome. I love the photo and I couldnt believe they only charged 60 bucks for a poster with 2 Oscar winners autographs.

You will usually have great success by simply going to the stage of a show (usually around an hour and a half to an hour before the curtain ONLY) and asking for the stage manager. Tell them you want to buy a signed poster/playbill with a donation to BC/EFA. Most shows keep a few pre-signed ones on hand. If you are out of town - send a letter and a check - be generous for the sake of the charity and include something extra for postage.

Last night at La Cage, they auctioned off a one-of-a-kind "John Wayne as a little girl" doll from Chris Sieber's dressing room. It went for $2,400. The audience (and cast!) was going BALLISTIC.
equinn, if you just want a window card (unsigned) Triton Gallery sells it for $20 I believe. tritongallery.com

Thanks for all the tips, I'm definitely going to Triton for the Good People window card. I'm glad to find out about Triton! Next time I will definitely try the stage manager approach to get a signed item and make my donation.
I will definitely keep my eye on the BCEFA store on eBay. Would love to get a signed version and participate in the bidding.
Meant to say earlier: Rock of Ages did not collect at their Sunday matinee 4/17. One of the Helen Hayes staff said that their Sunday turnaround between the 3pm matinee and 7:30 evening show is too short to fit in the matinee collection.

How to Succeed prices are crazy! $80 for a signed playbill, $250 for a poster! Yikes!
Daniel Radcliffe again auctioned off the very bowtie he was wearing on Wed (and I'm guessing he does this for every show). There was quite the bidding war! One gentleman had to practically muzzle his girlfriend/wife to keep her from bidding higher!
Once the bidding hit $1,000, they added being able to come backstage and meet Radcliffe and Larroquette. It endend up being TWO different patrons each donating 2K -- one was going to receive the bowtie from Act I and the other would receive the Act II tie! It was quite exciting -- AND for a great cause!
Just saw How to Succeed and the bow tie went for $14,000! Amazing!
14,000? As in the price of a compact vehicle? Really? It went for $3,600 when I saw it, and I thought that was insane!
Forgive if it's been brought up, as I don't feel like reading the thread: but, is Catch Me... not collecting?
They don't seem to be. (They didn't this past thursday, anyway) I know they don't collect during previews....so I'm guessing they figured not to for the scant amt of time they were "eligible". Kind of a shame, because the recipients are so worthy of whatever money comes in.
14K for a BOWTIE????? Really? Again, great for the cause, but sheesh.
When I saw How To Succeed last Saturday mat, they auctioned off the book Daniel used and I believe it went for $1,800
At Priscilla last night they had people holding buckets and they auctioned off an autographed "Sydney Opera House Barbie" for $1,000. No signed playbills or windowcards.

$14,000? Wow! Is that some sort of record for an individual item? How long did the auction go on?
My daughter, partner and I were there but unfortunately had to leave while the auction was still going on and even then it was over $3500. And Daniel started the bidding at $50!!!

$14,000!!?? Holy crap. Last night they auctioned two bowties for $4000 each for a total of $8000, but $14,000 for one.... my God that's astounding!
The prices for the Playbills & posters may be high at HOW TO SUCCEED, but yesterday we completely sold out of everything! There were just mobs of people rushing the bar to get one of the Playbills.
Cape, do you work there? I'm curious as to whether the person actually ended up paying that, or they got sticker shock after the auction ended and they had to actually pay it.
I'm not going to judge. I guess if you're a big Daniel Radcliffe fan, it's worth the cost (and tax write-off) to spend that much to meet him. It's for a great cause, so I'm not going to begrude anyone.

I volunteer with Broadway Cares so I collect & sell stuff for all the shows. I wasn't at HOW TO SUCCEED yesterday so I don't know the final outcome of that auction. I will ask today though! There was a similar situation at BENGAL TIGER a few weeks ago. Someone won the auction item for $10,000 (there were three under bidders at $1,500 each) but then disappeared before paying. So in effect they took $4500 away from Broadway Cares. I hope the bowtie actually sold for $14,000!
That's sad to hear -- does that happen often? (skipping out without paying?)
