They suspect he had been smoking synthetic marijuana. He tested positive for drugs and was yelling something about the world coming to an end. They are still trying to find out of it was intentional.

Some footage came out of him going on the sidewalk, it's amazing only 1 person was killed after seeing this video, hopefully the rest make full recoverys

A second video on here, it's amazing how many people got out of the way in time, this had the potential to be so much worse and thankfully it wasn't. As much as we see people walking around listening to music or looking at their phones it was good to see people being aware of their surroundings and being able to get out of the way.

I work right on 44th and we had a student group show up early and just as they were getting the last person in the building the car came plowing through. Truly scary to see the carnage, but I commend the NYPD, First Responders, and all the others that were involved that handled this.

Another video showing the impact and him getting out of the car. Those posts did their job and definitely saved some lives. That one bus tour salesman was right on top of the car and walked away cause of the posts. Just surreal. Kudos to all those people who tried grabbing this guy and finally getting him too.
