A bit much? It’s downright assaultive. No one is on trial here. We are customers. “Mask Up” signs are sufficient."
That has not proven to be the case, in my experience, nor (I would guess) in the experience of most front of house teams. "Mask-up" signs do little for audience members who are already determined not to give a crap about proper mask protocol - which is many, many people. It's audiences who have lost their decorum and decency, eliciting the need for a more aggressive enforcement from front of house."
This kind of verbal assault should be REACTIVE, not PRE-EMPTIVE.
I’m already braced to be shouted at when I arrive at the theater and scan my tickets now.
I am sick of poor audience behavior, though. I had to ask an usher on Wednesday to stop people in front of me for texting during “Hadestown.” I just can’t believe what I’m seeing sometimes.

Honestly, if the lead performance isn't incredible, I would think the show would fall apart. I would skip it.
Does anyone know why Messing has been out so much lately?
I was told Messing wanted her understudy to have the opportunity to play the role so she chose to give her the last matinees. That’s why Messing’s attendance record was flawless up until the final 2 weeks of the run.

Not accurate. She injured herself and has been performing in pain. It was decided that she would not do matinees on two-show days this week for that reason. To the degree that anyone is clamoring to see this show, they are coming to see her. She would not be taking performances off just to get her understudy a boost.
I had a whole day planned around seeing the matinee of this show with my friends.
Now I'll rearrange my weekend to see the final performance on Sunday.
I'm sorry my friends will now miss this show.

It’s interesting that despite said injury, there’s been zero mention of it on her socials. Outside of her usual political posts, she’s been actively posting about the show (even during performances that she hasn’t been on for). Interesting.
Roundabout wasn't very cooperative in trying to exchange my ticket since I had bought it on promotion so I just gave up and got a refund instead. Oh well.

What type of injury does Debby have?"
Debby? If you can call her Debby.. can't you call her and ask her?
