Audra McDonald for sure.
Lea Solonga (I know she's not coming back for a long time, so that's a little devastating).
Idina Menzel (no attacks please, I like her, but recognize that she's not as good as she's hyped to be).
Sutton Foster
Cherry Jones
Angela Lansbury (please, please let those rumors be true).
Raul Esparza

You're the first to say that because she hasn't been gone long enough to miss. And ChildofDestiny, thinking about Carlson and Orfeh together is almost too much. I think I could die happy after that happeneing.

6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys

I'm loving the names, I agree with about the 80% of them I knew.
I'd add Brent Carver, Eartha Kitt, and Tonya Pinkins
And Craig you can't hold out on me! Its exciting news, when will she be back?

JULIE ANDREWS!!!! While I realize that would be really depressing, considering she couldn't do a musical, but I would KILL to see her on stage... Maybe in a play?
And I'll second Peters and Sutton Foster.

Okay, so this doesn't quite answer the question, but am I the only one who would love to see Josh Groban in a musical? He did that one-night-only "Chess" concert with everyone else I'd love to see back on Broadway (Sutton Foster, Raul Esparza, Adam Pascal...), and was a wonderful Anatoly!
But if you kiss me,
If we touch,
Warning's fair:
I don't care
Very much

I second whoever said Ruffelle. I love her, despite what 50% of Les Mis fans may think.
I also agree with the more popular names in this thread: Sutton Foster, Pascal, Raul...
I like the Groban idea as well. Judging from the Chess concert, his acting could use a lot of work (although it's hard to determine considering the format of the performance), but I really do like his voice.
