Bag policy Broadway show

We will be seeing DEH at Music Box Theater (this week - yay!).  I looked on the website and don't see any bag policy.  I will have a large purse with a nice camera in it, and my daughter might have a purse and a single bag from shopping that afternoon.  Will that be a problem?  We won't be near our hotel to return things to the room before our show.

Thanks!

I have no idea what they say about bringing a nice camera in, as I’ve never done it, but the bags in general should be fine. All the shows I’ve been to recently have had metal detectors and some of them take a quick look in your back (I’ve had a tote with me for some), but other shows haven’t even looked in my bag.

I have a small backpack bag and they always are fine with me taking it into the theatre. I think it's more like bigger backpacks and luggage bags that they do not permit.

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

I usually have a backpack with me when I go to the theater.  They will usually ask me to open it up and they will poke around and look inside, but I believe they are looking for weapons or other dangerous items. I've never had a problem with it.

I always take a bookbag and haven’t had issues. The worst I’ve experienced was security asking me to toss my water bottle which was odd.

Contents likely not an issue.  Check items if you don't want that at your seat.

As long as the bag(s) can fit under your seats or on your laps, you'll be fine.

Exactly.  As long as it’s not annoying or interfering with those sitting next to you, you’ll be fine.  If it’s going to affect those around you, then check these.

Also, if you have aisle seats the bags can't sit in the aisle.

I carry a backpack with me; it's my "health emergency kit" and I've never had problems with getting admitted with it. I have had some unusual reactions when I open it up and they discover what's inside though.
