Sorry Dame, I'm on NY brain. $160 would probably be the most I could go for. Hope you have a wonderful time!

It's hardly a tour, a few dates in one month. This won't interfere with any of her other plans. She'll be back to Gypsy in no time.
Also, some of you are quoting reseller prices. It's not $4500 for front row. The official prices posted are $99-$510.

I thought tickets didn't go on pre-sale until tomorrow?

Hopefully this will keep her 73 year-old mitts off Gypsy.
The mitts turned 74 last month...

That was impressive, hopefully she is still close to that level.

I wish they published a seating chart to see the prices per section ahead of time - I'm going to try for tickets to DC tomorrow morning. As for the $4000 front row tickets, I am guessing that actually is the direct price. It looks like front row is a VIP package through Ticketmaster. They did the same for Beyonce, but it was bargain priced at $1200 per ticket!

God, please don't mention Beyonce in the same post as Barbra and Aretha. But, even after all that's dealt with, I'll save my small fortune and see the Stones next farewell.

I live in LA and was checking prices in preparation for AMEX presales on Wednesday, May 18 at 10 am. Staples Center Los Angeles - Floor $510 and up! First level above the floor - $510!!! (are you kidding? I paid around $150 including service charge in that section to see Bette last year) / 2nd level - $335 / 3rd level which is basically next to the ceiling - $190 / other end of the arena in the rafters behind the Lakers banners - $95. If I had never seen Ms. Streisand live then maybe. But at those prices - thanks but no thanks!

I also want to see her here in LA but the lowest ticket is $99 no including the fees? That's too much for me.

That "searching... sit tight" window made me panic. It took a while, but I finally got a front row seat in the 200's at Barclay's for Thursday. It's not great, and I'll need binoculars, but it's my first time seeing Barbra so I'm excited!

I couldn't bring myself to go for the $400 tixs so ended up with a $200 ticket for both Thursday & Saturday in Brooklyn - I've been to every Barbra tour since Vegas 1993

I got 2 tickets in section 16 for Thursday's Streisand show at Barclays. That place isn't huge so I'm happy with the seats. Tickets were $360 + 40 for fees, but my mother will be 78 this Summer and she's been a Barbra fan since the early 60s but has never seen her perform live. I can't wait to surprise her with these!

Congrats, everyone on getting tickets. I'm just looking in the waiting room in LA and there are no tickets less than $335 offered. I can't believe the $199 and $99 tickets are already sold out. Or maybe they're just not available on the AMEX presales. I'm not buying a $360 ticket so it'll be interesting to see what happens here.

Was thinking reading this thread----it's great that fans of Babs bought tickets they could[or not] afford.
How and who arrives at ticket prices? I think I understand that demand pushes prices UP and that for different areas different prices, but surely there has to come a time in a 'stars' life when they possibly have enough[and who decides that?] money, that they could perform for the love of/giving back to their fans for a 'sensible' ticket price.
Babs will sell out it seems whatever the price but I feel for those that want but can't.
I would presume--and that's where trouble begins--that Ms S has a set fee per performance so that's how promoters decide on ticket prices.
Liza/Hogan if you're reading-you seem to know about these things--and anyone else of course.
Thank you in advance.

I envy you guys with lower ticket fees. I'm going in Philadelphia, which are being sold by Live Nation. I got a $99 ticket and there were $32 in fees! It's a nosebleed seat but at least it's full view.

There will be more lower priced seats released on the official onsale date, which I think is Wednesday...They will go quickly though as the cheapest seats sell fastest...
Some venues are also having venue presales, which is a different code before the general onsale. You could check and see if there is one for the show you want to attend.

Toronto has some nice availability for the Amex presale. I got the first row of the 300 section for $160 US including fees. Happy to have that seat. Most of the floor was $1100 Canadian and the entire lower bowl was $510 Canadian and $335 Canadian for the rear lower bowl.
