Anyone knows if BP has any scheduled days off? I'm dying to see her understudy.

I actually went to the show last night and had her understudy. I don't know where Bernadette was but the understudy was INCREDIBLE. I have to say Carol Channing's Send In The Clowns made everyone in the audience cry. I would try and go see it when Bernadette's not there.
So Carol Channing is Stritchies understudy? I thought she was only originating roles from now on... Also Bernadette being out within the first 2 weeks of being in the show makes me go hmmmm. cough bullcrap cough
Okay before the humour in this thread becomes misinterpreted as fact...Bernadette Peters was NOT out last week. Carol Channing is NOT Elaine Stritch's understudy. Elaine Stritch and Bernadette Peters have yet to miss a performance.
Also, Jayne Patterson was on vacation last week and Becca Ayers was the temporary standby for Peters - she did go on but as one of the lieber singers two Sundays ago.
Second thread in which you've misspelled BP's name in the title. It's a pet peeve of mine, as someone who has a seemingly easy name that is often butchered. B-E-R-N-A-D-E-T-T-E. Thanks.

I'm thinking about legally changing my name to Lizzie Curry...
Heather Ayers is a temporary cover who comes and goes during vacations etc. Alma Cuervo does the same thing for Madame Armfeldt. Betsy Morgan started covering Desiree in the spring. With the reopening, Bradley Dean started covering Fredrik and Kevin Vortmann started covering Carl-Magnus. Updated On: 7/26/10 at 05:03 PM
I had suggested her as an amazing prospect when the casting rumors were flying but I'd love for Maureen Moore to be the understudy.
After her heart-breaking turn as the Edies in Grey Gardens, and having been Bernadette's understudy for decades, what I wouldn't do to see her Desiree...
I love America. Just because I think gay dudes should be allowed to adopt kids and we should all have hybrid cars doesn't mean I don't love America.

With her amazing turn as Charlotte (see video) I could only imagine her "Clowns" to be haunting.
Also, playing against Erin Davie would be interesting considering she understudied the Big Edie to her act 1 Litte Edie AND played the same role at the NYCO "Everyday A Little Death"
