Best (and worst) dressed

And now for the most important part- the fashion! Who was the best and worst dressed of the evening?

I thought Felicity Huffman looked fabulous. As did Audra.

Many people just looked awful though.

Christina Applegate looke fierce... best dressed by far...

Jennifer Ehle looked horrid. The should have taken her tony away because of it... of them.

I agree on Felicity and Audra. It's exactly what I was going to say.
Marcia Gay Harden... dear lord. And sorry Patty Lupone, I love ya, but you're a full-figured lady... and you need a better hair stylist.

Phylicia Rashad -- yikes. That looks like one of my grandmother's house-dresses. Marcia Gay Harden's dress was horrid, but not even close to the horror that Rashad was wearing.

Audra looked good. Anika Noni Rose and Christina Applegate looked fantastic. So did Swoozie Kurtz.

Getty Images has a lot of great pictures.

I thought Laura Bell Bundy and Audra looked gorgeous. As did Christine!

re: Best (and worst) dressed

I thought that Angela Lansbury looks good for her age if that counts. I thought that Orfeh looked good for the few seconds we saw her.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Why is it that Patti LuPone always goes for that "messy" sort of look? Her dress was too tight around her arms/shoulders and made a roll of fat appear.

Marcia Gay Harden looked like she was wearing some sort of costume......not an evening dress!!!!!!

And Cynthia Nixon......does she always have to look and appear so drab and plain......like "Debbie Downer" from SNL!!!!!! I mean come on, I'm so SICK of that messy hair look. Also her dress made her boobs look droopy.

As for looking great.
Audra was stunning!!!!!! I LOVED that straight hair.

Christine Ebersole looked stunning too, though her hair after performing wasn't as "fresh" as it was before she had to tighten it down.

Good Lord, that was hideous. It was like a cross between a flamenco dancer and a poodle. Oy.

Donna Murphy looked STUNNING.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Also, Martha Plimpton looked beautiful......the short moment they showed her! Her hair was beautiful!

Usually you see her sporting the "messy lesbian" look, but she had beautiful hair and the color of her lime green dress looked nice against her pale skin and platnum blonde hair.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Um, the best dressed was definately that man who got up when Journey's End won best revival of a play.

You know, that man with those bright red plaid pants and the crazy suit jacket! He tops the list by far!

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Um, whoever dressed Marcia Gray Hayden needs to be run over with a taxi. Seriously, that was a disaster.

Christina Applegate's dress was beautiful. So was Idina's, although a more adventurous color wouldnt've hurt. ALSO... Christine Ebersole looked HOT for her age.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Audra looked awesome as did Vanessa Williams. Patti Lupone for worst. And the man in the plaid pants.

^HAHHA, YES. I burst out laughing when I saw him.

I can't remember what she was wearing, but I remember thinking Xanthe Elbrick looked very nice.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Donna Murphy looked so gorgeous. But the best dress award for me goes to Anika Noni Rose, she really knows how to dress.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Loved Patti. But I always do.

And her hair was only the result of her fvcking someone backstage before her entrance. I'm just trying to find out who.

Best Dressed:
Xanthe Elbrick
Applegate
Kate Shindle (a little too much going on, but I loved her gown)
Cynthia Nixon (though the dress style and shape was very similar to last years, but at least she knows what works)
Donna Murphy (Broadway's Best Dressed!)
Vanessa Williams

The colour of Bebe Neuwirth's, Orfeh's, and Christine Ebersole's dresses were great, but I didn't like the shape of them or how they fit.

Worst Dressed:
Marcia Gay Harden. (Ych. Looked like the the debacle of a dress that Uma Thurman wore to the oscars two or three years ago.)
Christine Ebersole (sorry babe, love you and love the colour but I did not like the dress.)
Can't say I was a big fan of Claire Danes either.

Oh, and props to Audra for the best hair and make-up of the night. I didn't love her dress but she looked gorgeous from the neck up!

audra looked gorgeous. i love her hair down more, though
laura bell bundy looked really pretty too. i like her hair up.
i loved that christine ebersole wore red shoes, but she needed to pull her hair down more
i know mary louise wilson is older, but she could have worn something better
patti lupone needs to stop picking dresses that don't fit
jane krakowski needed a less sparkly dress
sutton looked fierce in the 2 seconds i saw of her next to christian
