re: Best (and worst) dressed

And her hair was only the result of her fvcking someone backstage before her entrance. I'm just trying to find out who.
HAHAH. Oh, Patti. She looked...nice. Better than last year, definitely.

I didn't think Audra's dress was anything special, but she looked gorgeous. She always does though.

Oh, and I loved Bebe Neuwirth looked lovely!
There wouldn't be lights bright enough!

Orfeh's dress... her hair... stunning. Like, off the charts. Vanessa Williams' dress was fantastic as well.

Marcia Gay Harden maybe should have re-thought her ensemble. And Mary Louise Wilson... would it killed her to dress up a little?

Best:
Idina Menzel. By far. That dress, those earrings, that hair...it was perfect.
Audra also looked amazing.
And Patti...Patti.

Worst:
I thought the plaid guy was wearing a kilt at first.
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia.
One time, Patti LuPone punched me in the face...

It was awesome.

I haven't seen anyone mention it, but I really loved Julie White's dress.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Yes, Julie looked gorgeous as well.

Fantasia looks scary as hell in this picture, though...

re: Best (and worst) dressed

These two aren't best or worst......but they are the "same" as they always are.

Bernadette Peters looked like she always has in recent years wearing a solid gown and it being sleeveless. Her hair looked the same too......but it is a signature that she has, so I guess she get credit for that!

Harvey looked the same as he has every year too; complete with a comment about being gay!

I think Andy Karl waxed his eyebrows. He looked all...manicured.

I thought Fantasia looked absolutely gorgeous. Compare her performance tonight with her rendition of "I'm Here" on American Idol a few months ago. Her growth is astounding. I'm going to have to see the show again so I can catch her performance.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Felicity Huffman, Julie White, and Orfeh looked lovely to me.

I don't remember who it was, but someone had a completely unnecessary diagonal strap on the top of their otherwise lovely dress. That was sad.

Orfeh looked amazing. From her hair to her dress to just everything...gorgeous.
Other standouts I recall are Christina Applegate and Audra McDonald.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Personally I think Martha Plimpton looked like a poofy green cupcake. Wasn't so fond of the dress. Also, the girl who introduced John Kander (the greek girl) looked AWFUL. Why was she wearing a soda can tab around her neck? I think Julie White was the best dressed of the night.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Oh, and excuse me Duncan Sheik, but what's with the double breasted (or I guess I should call it "double chested" for the broadcast) black jacket with the black shirt AND black tie? He could be so attractive if he had better taste.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

I thought Jane Alexander looked atrocious in her 80s prom dress. Also, Christine's hair was amazing when she came in-I think it got messed with after her performance and they teased it out too much. I loved Mary Louise Wilson's smart pants and top-she looked like a class act. I also loved Julie White's summery frock. Patti Lupone was a hot mess. She needs to hit a gym stat!

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Patti LuPone was so much better dressed than last year! Laura Bell Bundy looked like she was going to a prom, she was gorgeous! Bebe Neuwirth looked stunning. There were more postive "Ooos" than negative "Aaaahs" coming from my mouth when I saw people throughout the night.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Seriously, all "favoritism" aside, Orfeh was the most STUNNING woman of the night. She not only knows how to do a red-carpet event, but she looked like a movie star more than anything else. And Andy Karl, there are no words. They win both individually and as a couple. Anika Rose had on a lovely dress, as did Vanessa Williams (another true beauty). Some of the other women should have spent some of their cash on stylists. Really unacceptable.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

There's no favoritism to it, Orfeh is a GODDESS and never moreso than last night. MY GOD!!! Absolutely beautiful and should give some of the other women lessons on how to work a red carpet and what is and ISN'T appropriate. Really, I'm happy everyones so happy about MLW, but really, a liesure suit?! Others that got it right were Vanessa Williams and Taye and Andy. I think Idina needs to wear brighter colors, she's too pale. Marcia Gay Harden and Ebersole looked like I don't know what. CE looked like she was wearing a helmet.

re: Best (and worst) dressed

Did anyone else watch the red carpet interviews on NY1? Audra had on a stunning white dress when she came down the red carpet, and I cannot figure out why she changed dresses after her performance. I thought the purple gown was lovely also, but I liked the white better.

*slap you upside the head*

I hope Patti doesn't try and loose weight, she's so gorgeous curvy! She's one of the people that it so works for.

Clearly you and I were thinking the same thing. I was watching the awards show with my sister and she exclaimed "What is wrong with Patti's hair" to which I replied "she just sexed someone up". Isn't it obvious? Now on to who....she did touch herself when speaking about John Doyle (lol) or maybe her and Michael met up before hand...lol
