Would this be the first year that the Best Musical and Best Play would be across the Street from each other? (American Idiot and Enron) Have Best Musical and Best Play winners been next door to each other before in the past?

American Idiot and Enron have not won yet. In fact, no one has seen the Broadway incarnation of Enron yet.

What bjh said.

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

Really? I found it completely enthralling...

"We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last. Life's bounty is in it's flow, later is too late. Where is the song when it's been sung, the dance when it's been danced? It's only we humans who want to own the future too." - Tom Stoppard, Shipwreck

What if they were right next to each other? "American Idiot" and "Next Fall."

I'm sure it's happened before, but would still be funny.

More like ENRON and MEMPHIS right next to each other.

Stephen: "Could you grab me a coffee?" Me: "Would you like that with all the colors of the wind?"
