DRS or Sweeney, difficult choice.
spelling bee
I have to say DRS. I saw a lot of new shows this summer, but DRS was by far my favorite. IMO there was nothing wrong with it. The songs were so much fun, the acting was great, the choreography was amazing, and then there is the cast. The cast was so talented.

MrRoxy beat me to it:
Jersey Boys and Great American Trailer Park Musical.
But of the shows currently playing, I'd still go with
Avenue Q and DRS.
The Light in the Piazza was one of the most glorious theatre experiences I've ever had...
Also Spelling Bee was hysterical and touching
Doubt- I love Cherry!
Doubt was an earth-shattering theatrical experience for me. It was spectacular and the four performances (a phenomenally well-wrought Jones, a tense and seemingly perfect yet frightening O'Byrne, a stellar, star-making turn from Goldenhersh, and the best 10-minute performance I've ever seen from Lenox) made the show all the more powerful, engaging, and extremley harrowing. It's a great show.
Spelling Bee (won lottery!) and Sweeney Todd
I wanna see Trailer Park really badly though!
Spamalot and RENT...again.
I really want to see Sweeney.
By far ... "Doubt" is the best play on Broadway.
If you haven't seen it... beg, borrow, sell a child... whatever you have to do... see this one.

Let's see. Since the summer, I've seen Altar Boyz, Wicked, Trailer Park, La Cage, DRS, Spelling Bee, Slut, Carol Channing at Feinstein's, Doubt, The Shaggs, Urinetown (in VA), Hairspray, Fiddler, and I'm not sure what else. I'm such a sucker for any kind of theatre, I love them all. Sorry to be such a wimp. It happens to the best of us now and then.
off-broadway... SIDES: the fear is real
freaking amazingly hilarious show. i'm so glad i got to see it before it ends its run tomorrow. if any of you have a chance to catch it tomorrow at the Bleecker St. Theatre.... go, run, don't walk. i had tears from laughter streaming down my face. i missed some jokes cause i was still laughing from the previous ones. completely strong cast, strong story... just A+! see this!
