1.) best musical of the decade?
the light in the piazza. a risky show that found an audience for over a year, stunning production and perfect cast.

corny, but i used to be a wicked freak (the fad is long gone) i saw the show for my birthday in 2005 and began to cry as the orchestra began playing.
3.) biggest flop?
everybody seems to be forgetting story of my life! (it did manage to run a weekend though, opposed to glory days one performance!)
4.) biggest hit?
have to agree with wicked, and not just for financial reasons. the show isnt a masterpiece by any means, but it has introduced a slew of new people to the magic of musical theatre.
5.) most unexpected show?
gotta say finians. did the show flop? yup, but a group of producers who believed in the material took a chance and brought a beautiful show to the great white way which garnered some of the best reviews of any show this decade. and we're getting a brand new cast recording of a superb score.
