I think the point being made is that if you're going to do a 5th Gypsy revival, you've got to have a big name in the starring role. Beth Leavel can get a decent turnout for a few nights in a 150 seat cabaret but is in no way, shape or form a big enough name to sell tickets to Gypsy. That's not a knock on her talent or ability but she's in the "also starring Beth Leavel" category, not the above the title category where people will buy a ticket on her name alone."
Fair point. I am self admittedly not very knowledgeable about the finance side of show biz, so I appreciate the insight.
