In my opinion, no. It's cute if you have the extra time. It was a must see for me because I have been a fan of Julia Murney since...well let's say an extremely long time, but other than that I don't think so.

There will be a cast album release concert at 54 Below on 19 January, so the album will be available by around then.

Wonder if we’ll hear proshot news soon as well. I’d like to think the cast album will be released close to the Disney+ capture, following the Diana model.

Just announced: the proshot will have its world premiere screening on July 22, at this year’s BroadwayCon.

The email blast for those on the mailing list says that the screening will happen on Saturday morning at 11:15am. I was already going but this makes me even more excited to go. I just hope it doesn't run during other panels I want to sit in on.

I was there yesterday. The pro-shot looks really good though the sight lines in the ballroom were horrible. They were only showing it on one screen so unless you were on that side of the room and closer to the front, your view was likely obstructed.
I also think they need to update the credits as they basically had them on a basic black background. But the show itself looked and sounded great. I had to leave to catch a matinee so I missed the one hour talkback afterwards so I don't know if anything was said about wider distribution. But Jodi Picoult, Arielle Jacobs, and Julia Murney were all in the room watching the pro-shot with us.

In non-surprising (but still upsetting) news, a school district in Indiana cancelled a high school production two weeks before opening, despite "licensed edits".

If HS's can do Guys and Dolls, a show with a burlesque dancer and a whole sequence of the leading lady losing her inhibitions while getting drunk, they should be able to do this show. It would not shock me if more of these situations crop up while Trump and conservatives take over everything.

Updates with Piccoult reactions - and news that the HS version was "sanitized" and the sexuality of the Jules character is not in the script. Apparently, there is some movement to an alternate venue, but not who would fund it.
