I remember reading somewhere that Beyonce is aiming for the EGOT. I know that she does not have to physically perform on Broadway to be eligible for a Tony Award, but if she were to do a show what could you see her in?
I feel like someone would need to write her a show or she writes her own. I think she’s already proven she can tell a story musically through Lemonade. Heck I wouldn’t even be shocked if they adapted lemonade as a stage show.

Due to the success of Bruce Springsteen’s intimate one-man show SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY, this type of intimate format would appeal to her. BEYONCÉ ON BROADWAY on a marquee says more than required to bring in audiences. A limited engagement. Controlled and secure setting. Beyoncé can’t refuse this opportunity.
Though it could win her a Special Tony Award as these type of productions bring, its still a Tony Award, nonetheless.
Realistically, I could only see her doing a one-woman residency-type situation (like Springsteen or Chenoweth), but I would love to see her play
Angelica in Hamilton The Witch in Into the Woods Glinda in The Wiz (I know NBC offered her the role) Shug Avery in The Color Purple Grace Ferrell in Annie Rachel Madden in The Bodyguard
Im not completely sold on these but I could also potentially see: The Fairy Godmother in Cinderella The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot
Beyonce is a fabulous performer. I’ve seen her in concert multiple times and you leave feeling fabulous and thoroughly entertained. No doubt is she performing the shiz out everything. But we learned a big thing about Beyonce in Dreamgirls.
Beyonce cannot act her way out of a paper bag.
She is a great performer, but she is not a small audience actor.
Beyoncé can act the hell out of a song when she performs. With proper training, if she could tap into that raw energy, I think she could be an actress.
Dreamgirls was released 11 years ago and since then, Beyoncé has released her most personal, artistically-driven works. She keeps elevating herself as an artist and to think she’s incapable of doing that in all capacities is silly. Beyoncé loves to prove people wrong.
Being fair she gave a really great performance in Cadillac Records.
I think she should do something original. I've always thought she'd be phenomenal in something like If/Then. Or maybe something horror like/thriller with her as a villain, she's ferocious when she fully commits to anger. I'd rather she not come to Broadway with a love story, something more dynamic would show her off.
