Beyonce: Yes or No?
#1Beyonce: Yes or No?
Posted: 7/1/13 at 5:48pmBeyonce obviously has the talent, would you like to see her on Broadway? What role(s) would you like to see her play? I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to say, but she would be a heck of an Elphaba. Heck, she would be a killer at Christine in Phantom (yes, she has the range, and I would expect her to demand to put in Learn To Be Lonely)

Posted: 7/1/13 at 6:05pmI'm sorry, but Beyonce as Christine? I laughed out loud.

When I first saw Sister Act, I thought of she might be a good replacement for Patina Miller. :)
She definitely would sell tickets for any show she does, but I don't think she'll do 8 shows a week though.

@Gsharpminor You are being funny, right?
@Shown2 I don't know, she hates missing 1 performance of her concert tour, so she might. She definitely could though.

Posted: 7/1/13 at 6:34pmI think in she said in an interview right after she got married she said she wanted to settle down on tours and traveling for film and set up shop on Broadway and do Gypsy. She did not say she wanted to play Mama Rose immediatly but she said she wanted to tackle the role eventually. In my opinion Id love to see a black gypsy.

"She defiantly could though."
I'm talking about how she probably has the abilities to. Keeping in mind her tour schedule and how many times she moves and performs basically everyday without missing a performance. Well except for one, but she rescheduled.

@justincharacter No, I am not kidding. I believe that Gaga does have the singing chops to play Elphaba (maybe not the acting chops yet). Beyonce certainly does as well, but I feel that Gaga's voice would fit Elphaba more. You should look at some videos of Gaga singing live; they're quite impressive. Regardless, it will probably never happen.

DEFIANTLY -- in a rebellious manner.
DEFINITELY -- without a doubt
This is cute. And accurate.

Posted: 7/1/13 at 6:58pmI could see her as Tevye if they did a Fiddler remount with a "booty shake" element. Other than that, uhhh, NO!

Yes to Broadway, no to Phantom.
I'd like to see her Aida. Song and Dance could also be interesting.

Posted: 7/1/13 at 8:32pmMaybe she'll do the Wicked movie as Elphaba. I don't think her acting is together enough for Wicked. I'd love to hear her sing The Wizard and I though.

Posted: 7/1/13 at 8:48pmYou know what, I like her voice. I can't envision her in any role currently on Broadway, but if something came along that was appropriate, why not?

Posted: 7/1/13 at 10:04pmI wish we got that film of Aida with her, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake. Could have been very cool.

@Brave Thank you! I forgot about that! I hope Disney still has plans for the film, the musical has great potential. I hope it's next after Into the Woods (probably not), but Beyonce still is a great choice. Has anyone heard anything about the film since then??
Should I make a new thread about it?
