A no-brainer. Anne Brummel for the lead, please =) First thing I thought she'd be perfect for when I saw her.

I have always thought that this movie would make a great musical! I hope they do it- it would be fun! Oh and I just watched the video of Anne- you're right- she would be perfect!

From somebody that comes from a "Big Fat Greek" family, I would die if this came to broadway. The movie is one of my all time favorites and is so true to those classic Greek families. This would make a fantastic play. I'm not sure on the musical, but I'm sure that they can pull something great together. (I'm a sucker for classic sounding Greek music...)

And you are so spot on with that video of Anne Brumel! Wow! She would make an unbelievable Toula! And I know it would never happen, but if they got Andrea Martin to reprise her role of Aunt Voula on stage... I don't know what I'd do. I loove me some Andrea haha

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LLLOOOVVEE this movie, but the film lacks of the essential story arks that make a musical work. The story would have to be completely reworked in order for this to be a musical.

As tired as I am of movies adapted to musicals.....I think this one could have some real promise. I like that they have to change it a bit to make it work....but I'd be interested in its progress.

When I first saw this thread that is what I thought of. I was thinking they could expand on that role and make it bigger and maybe she would do it.
