What is the point of the Jersey Boys comparison? Because they are both bio-catalog shows? That's about all they have in common, actually. Bio-catalog shows have been around longer than Jersey Boys on Broadway and in the West End.
Isn't being unoriginal and riding on the coattails of another show enough to dislike it? Opening five years later is "riding on the coattails"?!?! LOL And since when is musical theatre truly original? Rarely. And "original" doesn't always mean "better" or even "good". You don't like Million Dollar Quartet. And that is fine. But you're not really making a convincing argument as to why it is undeserving of anything.
