Interesting. Can't be Scarlett J. since it wouldn't be her Broadway debut. Maybe Anne Hathaway?

#2Blind Item Re: Cabaret Casting
Posted: 5/30/13 at 2:52pmIt might be Emma Stone, since she was the one rumored last to be doing this.

Anne Hathaway's publicist denied her involvement some time ago, and I can't imagine a professional like her having "an emotional breakdown" at a photo shoot. Emma Stone I know nothing about other than rumors she was in talks.
I'm not seeing this "blind item" anywhere but David's "All In Spare Time" blog.

Posted: 5/30/13 at 3:18pmI'd be surprised if it was Emma Stone, who has talked about her vocal problems and how she doesn't think she could handle a Broadway schedule.

Posted: 5/30/13 at 3:22pmMaybe Kate Hudson. She would sell tickets.
#7Blind Item Re: Cabaret Casting
Posted: 5/30/13 at 3:27pmI also thought Kate Hudson, but I'm not sure why.

Posted: 5/30/13 at 3:36pmThe red is the giveaway, it's clearly Emma Stone who has been rumored for a while. Quick, someone get Nina Arianda on the phone to replace Stone.

Oh, yes! She would be amazing.

Posted: 5/30/13 at 3:39pmIf we are going by RED. Maybe it could be Amy Adams. She is red. She wanted to make a debut with ITW but that didn't happen.

Posted: 5/30/13 at 3:42pmEmma Stone isn't even a redhead anymore, is she?
#14Blind Item Re: Cabaret Casting
Posted: 5/30/13 at 3:42pmMy first thought was Lauren Ambrose.

I take it you don't know how a blind item works.

Ambrose has been on Broadway and I don't know that anyone would consider her a "movie star." Obviously, the phrase "seeing red" doesn't immediately mean Stone but it's the person who makes the most sense given the rumor mill, of course, I could be completely off based and it could be someone super random like Julianne Nicholson.
I also thought about Isla Fisher and Amy Adams.
ETA: Exactly, AC, the whole point is you have to read between the lines and make an educated guess, but maybe I'm overestimating the reading comprehension level of some people.

Posted: 5/30/13 at 3:49pmIt was a joke. There are many "red heads" other then Emma Stone. Yes I know what a blind item is. I'm not blind. You know reading a post doesn't always portray the sarcasm or humor in a post. (I guess that is what lol is supposed to be for huh)

Looks like everyone was correct in guessing Emma Stone. And now Rob Marshall is joining Mendes to direct. Looks like Roundabout is really banking on this one.

Damn, I wonder how she would have been. I also wonder who else they will find.
It'll be funny to hear people talk about how she was offered the role ten or so years from now.
