I liked the choreography in NYC 100% more. I did memorize some of the choreography from the DVD and when I saw it, I thought...wait, what are they doing? But it's still fun dancing as always.

The choreography was thrilling in NYC. I hope they didn't change it completely.

TLK, my favorite songs from the show are "Chaya Chaya", "Closer than ever", "Love's never easy", "Ganesh" and "Wedding Quawalli" ...do they sing all these songs?

Thanks for posting the Akron paper's review. I smiled when I read in the review "Most of the characters don't have any depth. Socially conscious heroine Priya is the most believable, played by the lovely Reshma Shetty. Shetty, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music, easily has the most gorgeous voice of all the show's principals."
This is the opposite of other BWW board reviews!

Yes, this doesn't agree with what people say about Priya and it seems this critic went to see Bombay Dreams thinking it was going to be a Pulitzer prize or that it was going to be a very deep musical. Anyhow, i haven't seen the tour. So i shall wait and see. Less than a month away!!!

Well she's from Ohio, of course they're going to praise her. Her voice isn't bad, it just doesn't work well for this pop score.

Did they include "Closer Than Ever" among the songs?

Yeah, I don't remember it being as good as on the CD though. But I remember the little refrain that they hum, which i love.

Wow. Those pictures really look great!
One question. How much do they have Rani sing in this incarnation?

It seems like in the touring show there are not too many drag queens(or transexuals, because my friend who is into the Indian culture told me there is a word they called these man-women in India and they are actually transexuals i think she said) Is Sweetie the only drag queen in this production?
