Its coming to Huntsville, Alabama......and I'm driving up there to see it.
I think this is one of those shows that'll do well on tour.
Plus its going to small cities.

i hope it's as amazing as it was on Broadway. I think noone went to see it when it was in NYC. People who saw it loved it. It had terrible advertisement.

I hope it comes to Chicago. I loved the Broadway production. The day I saw it, the house was packed.

I'm virtually certain that wild horses couldn't drag me to see it, if it played in my living room. G'luck!!!!!

The tour is actually selling very well, but not because people are wanting to see it. Most everywhere it is showing, it is part of a series subscription, and most cities hosting Bombay Dreams also have Wicked as part of thier season. The new tag line most presenters are using is 'subscribe now to guarantee seats to Wicked'. Good for them.....Bombay Dreams is riding on the coat tails of more successful shows.
It would be interesting to see how many of the seats sold for Bombay Dreams actually end up being used.

it makes me laugh that most people who trash the show hasn't even seen it....yes!!! i do say that some shows are terrible...but at least i have seen them.
By the way..."Wicked" is not playing at the Ruth Eckerd Hall...where i am seeing "Bombay Dreams" so the subscription doesn't really increase sales for BD. The theatre is promoting the show a lot. That is why it's selling well.

I saw it on Broadway, It was far from the worst thing that I've seen and far from the best. A ringing endorsement. The crowd was 50% Indian at the show I saw and I think they were trying to market it to the South Asian communnity.

I liked Bombay Dreams a lot. The music was phenomenal, the staging was really awesome, the dancing and costumes very different and unique. Never understood why people trashed it as they did.
Considering crap like "Urinetown" will run for several years which is basically written to and acted with people in the theatre biz in mind, at least us mere mortals who enjoy theatre as entertainment were ENTERTAINED going to see Bombay Dreams. If it comes back to the NY metro area, I'm there.

Yeah i'm going up to Huntsville to check it out in March - I think. I'm also going to see Evita in Febuary. I can't wait for Bombay Dreams. I'm holding out on buying the OLC because I want to be surprised by the show. I mean, a working water fountain on stage?! Tight.

Most Def. The theater season has been a little rocky considering we were suppose to get Dr. Dolittle in November, but then that got scrapped. But I'll be sure to post my reviews. These are all equity tours right?
