And it's spelled Chenoweth*
re: Breaking News: Kristin Chenowith returning to Wicked#3
Posted: 1/26/05 at 6:59pmThat's gonna cost the producers a lot of money, not that they can't afford it. Hope she realizes she's not eligible again for a Tony.

No she won't broadwayguy2, that's NOT funny.
She'll be operating the mechanical "dragon" attached to the proscenium.

Posted: 1/26/05 at 7:01pmI'll believe it when I read it on playbill.com. Until then, no way.

Posted: 1/26/05 at 7:08pmNo I actually heard that awhile ago, that when she was leaving, she had already made plans to return. I personally like JLT better, dont get me wrong, Kristin was great but...I still think Megan Mullaly would make a great Glinda
re: Breaking News: Kristin Chenowith returning to Wicked#11
Posted: 1/26/05 at 7:10pmShe told me she would be returning to the production when I met her going into the stage door, right after she announced she was leaving and before the days of masses outside the gershwin.

she wont be returning to wicked anytime soon.. shes in too high of demand.. shes still doing the west wing, promoting/finishing her album, concert appearences etc..
she woud never commit to 8x a week as of right now..

Woah Chenoweth back in Wicked?!
Derek- I agree, Megan Mullaly would make an amazing G(a)linda. At least the acting part of it. I don't think shes got the right voice though... oh well

Posted: 1/26/05 at 7:50pmThat would be awsome if Kristin came back to Wicked for a special engagment. It probably won't be in the near future because as far as I know she is still touring but I hope she returns. Maybe she will come to LA and perform at the Pantages!
re: Breaking News: Kristin Chenowith returning to Wicked#15
Posted: 1/26/05 at 7:51pmOkay enough joking around! I wanna know if this is true. Wasn't last night her concert at Carnegie Hall? Maybe, she mentioned it there? She always said she wants to return, I think she will. Even if it's for about a week or two.
re: Breaking News: Kristin Chenowith returning to Wicked#16
Posted: 1/26/05 at 7:59pmUh, I think there's something on her website that says she's not coming back for a while.
re: Breaking News: Kristin Chenowith returning to Wicked#17
Posted: 1/26/05 at 8:02pmI think it would be cool if she did like 1 or 2 Monday night shows, with jacked up ticket prices, and donated the proceeds to BC/EFA.

Posted: 1/26/05 at 8:03pmDidn't she JUST leave? It hasn't even been a year, has it? O, well. Perhaps she'll be come in after Jennifer Laura Thompson leaves?

Posted: 1/26/05 at 8:45pmYeah it has been a pretty short time but I think she might have left Wicked only because of her tour scedule. I think she always planned on coming back once she was finished touring.

It would be cool if they both reprised their roles in London or LA
But I could think of a hundred fabulous British Girls who would kill for the parts in that show.

Posted: 1/26/05 at 9:06pmI agree that Megan Mullaly would make an excellent Glinda. Megan has been perfecting Glinda for years on Will and Grace before Kristin decided to borrow her character.

Posted: 1/26/05 at 10:01pmYeah it would be awsome if Kristin and Idina reprised in England like Anthony and Adam did for RENT but it's unfortunately very unlikely. Idina will be occupied with RENT til next Christmas and she will be dealing with the hype and awards afterwards and Kristin is in very high demand and (I think) is in the process of making and promoting a new CD... not sure about that one but either way, I dont think either of them will have time to move to LA or London to be in Wicked. That would be really cool though.

Posted: 1/26/05 at 11:27pmI wouldnt be surprised if she returned to Wicked if Stephanie J. Block ended up doing the show on Broadway -- I remember reading that she wanted to work on it with Stephanie.
